I'm 53, I wanted him so bad! It really hurt to lust after someone on tv... Might as well just mention Ed Asner's giant basket on MTM show...also at 12 aspired to have apt. just like Mary's!
Wojo was the hotness.
I so wanted to bury my little pre-teen nose up into that ass.
I liked daddy Barney's stache too.
I knew I was gay because I loved the show's jazzy theme.
And Taxi was on right after... could then get a boner over Kinicky and Alysa Milano's Dad..
His wife died of cancer and now he hawks "natural" cancer remedies and does documentaries on them.
He's totally into black chicks.
It's funny that he affected us all in the same way. I was in love with him when I was 10 and wanted throw my arms around his muscled body and love him long time.
He's what bears used to suppose to look like. Now any fat middle age man with some facial hair is a "bear".
He has a classic retard look. Not attractive. AT. ALL.
I actually thought Hal Linden was fucking hot too! And the black guy, we knew he was gay right?
Hal Linden was very handsome at that time.
Ron Glass pings like crazy and had a huge bulge.
My boyfriend thought he was hot, I didn't really get it at the time. Now I can see what he was talking about.
I liked his goofy demeanor. Made him sexier.
The Ron Glass character was gay but it just wasn't talked about, right?
Ron Glass is rumored to be gay himself, and supposedly dated Anthony Geary of General Hospital fame for years.
Wojo was definitely hot.
A classic bear would be Mel (Mel's Diner) from Alice.
Linda Lavin should know- she was on both shows.
I did have a thing for Wojo but Tony Danza'a ass in Taxi was the star of the show.
I love the collective lust that was apparently spread across the land among a certain age group of gay boys and teens for characters from Wojo to Barney to Mel to Lou Grant. My lust started earlier with Robert Conrad in Wild Wild West but broadened as I got older and honed my attractions to specific looks rather than obvious hotness.
Susan Sontag's sainted beaver
Let's not forget James Evans and those tan corduroys, R31.
Nah, I was hot for Dietrich -- he was unconventionally handsome and I loved his smart, sardonic humor.
Am I the only one who didn't find him attractive or sexy in the least? Even as a kid, I thought he was fat and balding.
He wasn't fat. He was beefy but not fat.
He is the poster boy for "fit fat."
I thought he was so sexy. I've always been attracted to men like that. Beefy boy next door types.
Francis likes the chest hair
Oh jeez...John Amos and his tan cords!! Yes that is an awesome recovered mem.
In a celebrity-sex-encounter thread from a few years ago, somebody posted about getting his dick sucked by Hal Linden and said he had incredible oral skills.
[quote] somebody posted about getting his dick sucked by Hal Linden and said he had incredible oral skills.
I thought that was Abe Vigoda. Abe gummed them to ecstacy.
Speaking of Abe, I'm always stunned to hear he's still alive and my first response is always "Wait, you mean he isn't dead?"
me! me! i did!
oof, talk about sex on a tight-pantsed stick.
Check out that torso under his shirt starting at the :40 mark.
"Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it ... You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"
We are switching to the new platform for The DataLounge this weekend. All of our mobile users have been using it for over a week and all first time users have been using it for about a month - which adds up to well over one million users. So we're ready to end this phase of the testing and move everybody to the new site. (more)
And yes, we've changed the look and some of how it operates.
Yes, we know you just *hate* it in well in advance.
Yes, we know we suck.
Yes, we are the biggest suckers that ever sucked.
But it was time for a change and with the huge shift to mobile it was long overdue. We've taken this opportunity not only to update the look but also make major changes under the hood (or "bonnet" if you're either British or pretentious or both). And we have to prepare for 2016 - a presidential election year where we can normally expect to see a 60% jump in traffic (yes, we've seen 5 presidential elections so far…Christ we're old).
The site has a bunch - nay, plethora - of new features which will make the site more usable: better search, the ability to ignore posters and threads, see link previews, to pick up a thread where you left off, spam and malware filtering and more.
If you want you can go explore and see for yourself, Click here.
And while running the tests we've noticed two interesting reactions to the new system - people are spending more time on the site and more people that come stay around longer and look at more stuff. Both good things. Yay!
Possibly we've not slain all the dragons and there will be issues that come up during the switchover. There's a help button in the lower right hand corner of the page which you can use to send us bug reports.
Please include as much information about the hardware (PC, Mac, Tablet, Phone etc), operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS etc) and browser (Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer etc) that you are using as possible to help us replicate and fix the problem.
Please note that complaints about colors, fonts, icons and the like are not "bugs" - they are design choices that we've made and we expect one or two cases of world-class bitching. But they won't actually cause headaches, scurvy, heart attacks, Restless Leg Syndrome, Morgellon's Disease or the vapors (but have your smelling salts at hand just in case).
Talking to DataLounge servers. Please wait a moment...
