Joan Rivers being slapped with charges, could face hearing
by the Writers Guild of America for allegedly violating rules.
I find it hard to believe that Joan would be so hateful for no reason. I've always heard she's very giving towards the people who work for her (She's paid entire college tuitions for some).
And isn't this the network's responsibility more than hers?
I just think Joan needs to tell her side of this.
Joan is one smart, tough cookie. She's not one to take this lying down. She'll fight and lawyer up.
[quote]I find it hard to believe that Joan would be so hateful for no reason.
Then you've not been paying attention.
Team Joan. Fuck the haters.
Basically the writers for Fashion Police went on Strike months ago (including Jackie Beat) all they wanted was to be in the writers guild (as Joan is) to get insurance, benefits and fair compensation. Melissa is a boss of the show and is part of the people saying "no way will we allow you to unionize"
Joan could make it all go away if she sided with the writers but ..Melissa is the other side so who do you think she is going to side with?
Joan is obviously in a bad position.
I'm kind of surprised that Melissa is so against unions.
[quote]Team Joan. Fuck the haters.
Team Writers. Fuck her and her stupid stans.
*Yawn* She's always been a drama queen and is doing this just for attention.
Slap her all you want, bitches. Joan has enough incision keloids and implants to absorb the charge of bulls, cows and a gaggle of lawyerly peni.
UNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNIONUNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNIONUNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNIONUNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNION
Melissa Rivers is a horrible human being and surprisingly a right wing nut republican. E is also notoriously cheap.
"UNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNION UNIONUNION UNION UNION..."
Well, I can see Norma Rae tossed that piece of cardboard for a keyboard with a faulty caps key.
[quote]I find it hard to believe that Joan would be so hateful for no reason.
She's a Republican, and a disgusting human being who's thrown stuff at workers.
[quote]Melissa Rivers is a horrible human being and surprisingly a right wing nut republican.
Joan's a Republican too, which is why I don't know why stupid gays like her.
[quote]E is also notoriously cheap.
That didn't stop Chelsea Handler from speaking up for her staff to get them better pay when they brought it up to her (and they did get better pay).
[quote]How can you not be [a Republican]? How can anyone not be? How can you live in a country when you can not [sic] say the Pledge of Allegiance anymore? Insane people have taken over the Democratic Party. They’re mad. They’ve taken over the asylum. To be worried about what the terrorists were eating at Camp X-ray, I think you’re beyond insane. They've just blown up New York. -Joan Rivers
Keep supporting this Republican, mentally-ill, piece of shit.
`Joan Rivers being slapped`. Ah,the sound of it!
I'd love 10 minutes in a locked room with her and a baseball bat.
"I'd love 10 minutes in a locked room with her and a baseball bat."
Edgar, is that you?
Joan will forever be lashing out at the world because she was born ugly. At least for another 5 yrs, until she finally kicks the bucket.
She'd take you. That face is indestructible at this point.
Don't ruin my Fashion Police gig, dammit. It's this or I'm off TV forever.
She's probably protecting her useless daughter. All you ever hear is "Melissa produces Fashion Police!" Well, she had one job to do and apparently has fucked this up big time.
Melissa's a horse, of course, of course.
Melissa's a Republican just like Mama? What a fucked up family.
She called Michelle Obama "Blackie O". For that, I'd kick her in the stomach.
I'm all for the union. I liked Fashion Police but I stopped watching once the writers went on strike. That show is crap without the writers. Both Rivers and her daughter should realize their lives would be a lot harder without the show. But then, Rivers has this I'll cut my nose to spite my face attitude as her many plastic surgeries demonstrate.
Somebody actually writes that shit?
[quote]Somebody actually writes that shit?
Twelve somebodies! And they all want raises & benefits.
Rivers is acting like the raise the writers would get would come out of her salary. How does she justify being a Union member but denying writers?
I remember when she was on the apprentice and some other team member accused Melissa of being a nobody without her mom to get her jobs and Melissa and Joan both raged. Melissa said "you know those red carpet shows where they interview the stars?? THEY DON'T JUST PRODUCE THEMSELVES"
to which I would have replied "you mean the ones your mom hosts?"
She is in total denial that she has any sort of job because her mother demands Melissa gets a job on anything Joan does. She changed her last name to rivers for gods sake because no one cared about Melissa Rosenberg.
Anti-union, Republican union members!
The mind reels.
Of course Melissa is delusional, thinking she has real talent that would have come to the surface even if she hadn't been shit out of Joan's withered cunt. Joan's been feeding that troll for years.
Fuck them both.
The Republican anti-labor stance is so reflexive. Or are they really worried about how much they're going to lose. Melissa is going to inherit her mother's millions shortly. It's very little she stands to "lose" by providing benefits.
"People know me best as the producer of Fashion Police"
Why do the QVC fraus love Joan so much? They buy all that ugly crap she sells.
[quote]She called Michelle Obama "Blackie O".
She ripped off that joke.
I'm not going to be upset when she kicks the bucket. She's a vile human being.
i had a terrible day and you cracked me up R8 amd R17, thanks for making me laugh!
R36 She is absolutely vile. Because her writers want to be paid a decent wage, they're on the level of Anthony Weiner???
What a stupid old cunt. Go retire. Nobody cares about you anymore.
Joan used to be great. Now she's just a bitter old bitch.
Typical old Jew. She has shit pots full of money, but she cries poormouth all the way to the bank.
Funniest woman in the world.
Agree with all of you about Joan and her horrid spawn. Here's my opinion of the hate they both had for Annie, the poker player, on Celebrity Apprentice. Annie graduated from Columbia College (the Ivy that is the jewel of the crown of Columbia University) and not only could Melissa not get into COlumbia, but she couldn't get into Barnard, the formerly all female college across the street from Columbia. Joan went to Barnard and it's easier to get into than Columbia, but even with her money and Melissa's legacy status had she been admitted, no way that ignorant child was getting admitted. So both mother and daughter were loaded for bear when they butted heads with the much smarter and much better educated little poker player. Of course Donald picked Joan to win.
Edgar died laughing.
The past few fp's Joan has said some pretty borderline racist jokes...I am suprised they get by the censor.
Yeah Joan was Republican for a long time (remember "Fritz and Tits"?), but on the last celebrity wife swap she called herself a Democrat. Just shows she's been paying attention the last twelve years.
[quote]The past few fp's Joan has said some pretty borderline racist jokes...I am suprised they get by the censor.
Resorting to racial jokes is what most "comedians" do when they are either A) Not that funny to begin with or B) Ran out of jokes years ago.
Bet she doesn't tell any Jew jokes though, does she? If someone told a Jew joke, all hell would break loose.
She's such a hypocritical cunt.
She just posted a Jewish joke on Facebook, albeit one she got from Sarah Silverman:
What does a Jewish pedophile say? "Want to buy some candy?"
R50 But how many Jew jokes does she tell on her crappy E! show?
I wouldn't know, I'm not interested in fashion.
Shut up Carson R52.
the lack of knowledge on this thread astounds me.
Joan has never told race or jew jokes? have you not seen her act since 1970????
She voted for Obama both times. Many people out there are fiscally conservative, socially liberal.
"Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it ... You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"
We are switching to the new platform for The DataLounge this weekend. All of our mobile users have been using it for over a week and all first time users have been using it for about a month - which adds up to well over one million users. So we're ready to end this phase of the testing and move everybody to the new site. (more)
And yes, we've changed the look and some of how it operates.
Yes, we know you just *hate* it in well in advance.
Yes, we know we suck.
Yes, we are the biggest suckers that ever sucked.
But it was time for a change and with the huge shift to mobile it was long overdue. We've taken this opportunity not only to update the look but also make major changes under the hood (or "bonnet" if you're either British or pretentious or both). And we have to prepare for 2016 - a presidential election year where we can normally expect to see a 60% jump in traffic (yes, we've seen 5 presidential elections so far…Christ we're old).
The site has a bunch - nay, plethora - of new features which will make the site more usable: better search, the ability to ignore posters and threads, see link previews, to pick up a thread where you left off, spam and malware filtering and more.
If you want you can go explore and see for yourself, Click here.
And while running the tests we've noticed two interesting reactions to the new system - people are spending more time on the site and more people that come stay around longer and look at more stuff. Both good things. Yay!
Possibly we've not slain all the dragons and there will be issues that come up during the switchover. There's a help button in the lower right hand corner of the page which you can use to send us bug reports.
Please include as much information about the hardware (PC, Mac, Tablet, Phone etc), operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS etc) and browser (Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer etc) that you are using as possible to help us replicate and fix the problem.
Please note that complaints about colors, fonts, icons and the like are not "bugs" - they are design choices that we've made and we expect one or two cases of world-class bitching. But they won't actually cause headaches, scurvy, heart attacks, Restless Leg Syndrome, Morgellon's Disease or the vapors (but have your smelling salts at hand just in case).
Talking to DataLounge servers. Please wait a moment...
