How do you feel when people tell you "Happy Pride."
I am not a fan of it.
"I harbor only a Healthy Shame!"
The holiday salutation should be "Be Proud."
I just launch into "The Trolley Song"
I give them a big smooch
OP lives for Arbor Day.
... I feel so ashamed, OP. So ashamed.
I tell them to save it for the lions.
So puke on their shoes, OP. That will prove your point!! They'll never say it again and you will have won a grand and glorious victory!
It's better than "Happy Memorial Day."
The correct salutation is "Have a blessed Pride."
r10, are you saying "blest" "bless-ed?"
It's not my thing. I just say thank you and keep stepping.
I'm not sure if I feel happy or proud.
I say "Yes it is, happy pride to you!"
I have never heard that phrase. Who says that shit?
Thanks for the chuckle R3. Sorry I can't get a peak at that.
Where do you live, OP, that you meet up with people wishing you "Happy Pride"? I've never heard anyone say that. Do you walk around wearing a rainbow colored feather boa?
Makes me think of that pathetic Ted on that episode of QUEER AS FOLK when he's thrown a mercy fuck during Pride Weekend.
I usually break into, "The Man That Got Away".
Used to live in SF, and hear that expression all the time; friends who still live there find it annoying but I think it's cause we're elders. Imagine most people saying it have only the best intentions. Unclench, girls.
Happy Canada Day, OP!!!!
Its egotistical does anybody say Happy Cinco de Mayo or Happy Black History Month?
I didn't think so.
Bless you, OP
I feel violated.
A friend in the military said he's tired of people stopping him on the street to say "Thank you for your service."
