I'm a professional artist. My paintings are in a whole bunch of galleries around the country. And you know what I just did? I painted a few datalounge-themed paintings. I painted these as a lark, and I'm not sending them to a gallery. Let me know if anyone is interested in them.
Check them out at the link!

[quote]I was born and raised in Boston, and have an MBA from Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire. I was an Account Executive at the Leo Burnett ad agency in Chicago, and then the Director of Retail Marketing and Advertising at Polo Ralph Lauren in NYC when I moved to Nashville to become a songwriter. After enjoying the success of having a few dozen songs recorded, my life and creative output took yet another turn, and I traded my guitar for a paintbrush.
How old were you before you were diagnosed as bipolar?
Love the Joni one. Hilarious, OP.
Lovely. But you didn't show my dick as big as it is.
How can we buy your Datalounge art/prints? Make more! I love it! I want a Let's Roll Cinnamon Buns sign for my kitchen.
OP: I am not sure if this (you) are for real or not but I really like the art at the link. It's kind of simple and pure and very natural.
Love them! They would make a lovely set of note cards, as well!
OP, how do you get galleries to show your paintings?
Good job, OP. The style of your work enhances the often childish, juvenile behaviour that goes on here but also acknowledges the wounded inner child in all of us. I feel comprehended. They are far better than we deserve.
I want a "Die in a grease fire!" poster
Where's my tribute?
Can you paint little Barnaby with his mouth a circle: "Please! Someone shit in my mouth!!"
Note cards are a great idea. As would be small prints. I would totally buy either of those things.
I remember you, OP.
I clicked to buy This.Never.Happened and, boy, was I disappointed.
OP here. I have a licensing agent for cards and reprints, etc, so I legally can't print anything on my own. I sell originals through galleries and through my web site. I love painting, and am thrilled I get to do it.
No Huey Long busting heads, then riding away on a Harley?
r44 -- check out the misc page. There's a rotary phone there. No pencil though.
I really love the expression on your crocodiles. You have a cute style, you should illustrate books for children.
Barnaby buying a bottle of Helenesque.
Anybody else get the impression most of this thread is 'Barnaby' talking to himself?
That's what I've suspected, R51.
We rape grandparents and kick puppies.
Totally agree R51. Like I said in R1, the guy is bipolar.
I love them, they made me smile
Oh do a Luke MacFarlane is Straight troll painting.
Op here. Thanks for the kind comments and the couple of emails I got. As for the rude comments? WOW. I've been reading DL long enough to not be surprised, but I am surprised. I will never understand why anyone needs to be mean-spirited and unkind, especially to a stranger. I just don't get it. I hope you're not that unhappy.
Promoting oneself and trying to sell products are mortal sins on Datalounge.
You have done both. And you're surprised you got some negative blowback?
"Move it along toots" Barnaby tapping frau on the behind with umbrella.

It's fun, and it feels [italic]really[/italic] good.
I'm holding out for a cheerfully rendered homage to a prolapsed anus.
OP, people here can be assholes, you've been here long enough to know that. Sadly, some people just *like* to be mean. I don't get it, and find it a bit pathetic.
That being said, I love you art. it makes me smile, and has such a fun and joyful quality to it. When I have a bit of money, will contact you. :)
Don't let the bastards get ya down!!
Love this! You did a great job, OP.
Op, the anonymity here provides the losers of society a blank pallatte to spew their vile venom. FF and move on, they are sad and pathetic.
I do love this idea from upthread:

Don't let the losers rain on our parade, remember your umbrella!
R1/54 raped kids with Jackson, gacy, and Sandusky!
"Totes adorbs, OP!"
You don't speak that way in real life, do you?
It's not my favorite style of art (overly infantilized for my tastes), but it did make me chuckle, OP. There will be bitches here, but that is what makes the DL such a great forum. Be proud of your work, and keep on painting!
