The floor plan is a good use of an awkwardly shaped lot. I love the lap pool.
I'd lap that pool.
I like the pool close to the house for one reason, you want shade when you swim in that kind of heat. The house shades the pool a bit, it's either that or palm trees.
[quote]Except for that one room with the dark, heavy, oppressive wood ceiling.
I love that room. It reminds me of an English Tudor. I wonder what the front of the houes looks like from the outside.
You must admit, it is a modest house for someone of Jodie's means (I'm guessing at her means).
Very corporate, almost sterile. Some good items, but not enough to save it overall.
Courtyard is lovely.
Too much dark brown. Ellen has sort of similar "brown" tastes that I dislike.
R3 , is right. They've moved out,and professionals have staged it. That's why all the neutrals. She'd NEVER let the public see even the slightest detail of her private life.
The parking is odd. It looks like you go through the master bedroom or bathroom to get there
Handy if you're single but weird with kids and groceries.
You can't judge the furniture. The furnishings are pure staging lady. Clues: hurricane lamps, knick-knacks from Gumps, matchy room suites, wall art by the foot, and that gawd-awful fucking orchid.
In fact, the only thing that reads 'Jodie' (based only on gossip from the web mind you) is that squeegee in the shower stall. "Squee Gee! Spells SQUEEGEE, DAMMIT!"
The house itself is fabulous if only for the low ceilings in personal spaces with higher ones reserved for public ones. Every multi-million dollar house built since the 80s has a vault fetish. I don't need echoes in the "entertainer's kitchen" or the "Masterbath with double sink shitter".
Oh, and the fireplace mantles rock.
R7 90069 is weho.
An estimated $23,000/month mortgage. Damn...
Hideous. Like a corrugated box decorated by the kind of dyke who has a daily pubic wax to avoid feeling human.
r27, it's staged, not decorated.
Yale grad and not a book in the house. Now we know why Jodie doesn't come across as articulate.
Where does she keep her Leni Riefenstahl video collection?
Beautiful house. I agree with the comments that it's a bit to brown
Her new house- 1267 Lago Vist Dr., Beverly Hills, 90210
Interesting, it almost overlooks Ellen & Portia's old estate, that she sold to R. Seacrest for $35 mil. I'm sure she was disappointed to miss out on Portia sunbathing in the nude, next to that big pool.
Ellen & Portia's / now Ryan's - 1196 Cabrillo Dr.,Beverly Hills
Nice, but I'm looking on Cielo Drive.
If those walls could talk!
I noticed that too, R23, but I'm thinking that the garage actually leads to the lower level somehow. Notice the dotted lines in the sitting room area. I believe that shows where the walls are in the garage underneath the sitting room.
r32, How did you learn of the address?
r32, that house seems to have a value of $2.5 million and is only 3 bedrooms. The house Jodie bought was supposedly worth $11.2 million
Re # 36 - Celebrity Homes.net
Aerial photos too - nice place
Re # 37 - you must be Zillowing the wrong house . Just checked Zillow, and Jody got a deal. Z puts the value at $13, 408,105 - she paid $11,750,000
"Property records show the house was originally built in 1952 and measures 3,752 square feet, although we suspect it may actually be larger. Documents surreptitiously provided by Our Fairy Godmother in Beverly Hills show the house is of undefined square footage with five bedrooms, six bathrooms and four fireplaces. There are formal living and dining rooms, a library/study and a den, and office, and eat-in kitchen and a media room equipped with a projection system."
