She reminds me of those dodgy, old back teeth that wiggled a lot and eventually needed a root canals. Like her, it took loads of injections to make them numb, killing the roots and all feeling---only to be replaced as shiny porcelain veneer.
My old aunt Sandy.
10-lbs. of shit in a 5-lb. bag.
Madonna reminds me of fabulousness.
R1 that what be that has been, flash in the pan coke head Lady Gaga, who's ex manager even openly ADMITTED on CNN that they copied off of Madonna's old looks to create Lady Gaga.
R4 Elton John apologized to her after his ridiculous rant and even bought her dinner in Paris last summer, when he apologized.
Madonna was in the middle of her record breaking #1 grossing tour of the year
And fat pig Elton was in the middle of buying another ugly ass wig.
Kudzu - she reminds me of kudzu. She's everywhere covering everything. Pretty from a distance yet invasive and dangerous as she sinks her roots where they don't belong. She chokes out more valuable specimens. And, sigh, she'll survive and thrive regardless of efforts to eradicate her.
W&W for R12, who's totally on the money.
The physical incarnation of the clap.
I always love hearing from DL's unhinged, mentally ill anti-Madonna troll.
While the rest of us have moved on and never even think of the woman, the OP is so completely obsessed, she fails to see the irony in posting thread after thread after thread on someone she wants to convince herself is over and equally hated.
OP, I wish you AND Madonna would just cease to exist.
This poll is perfect, she reminds me of nothing.
She reminds me of my cousin. Once a beauty and always the prettiest woman at every party, but now at 50 is no longer the prettiest woman at the party and is spending a small fortune to try to get back that prettiness.
My grandma Ethel.
My mom. She and her friends were fans back in the day. They're all in their 50's now. Noone my age listens to her. Seriously.
As R19 continues to live in his moms basement.....
R8 wins the award for most incomprehensible post in the history of the Datalounge.
Shirley MacLaine. Someone with no talent who parlayed a career.
not in my 50s. Considered young and "hip". Madge still has it guys. Sorry if you disagree.
She still has it.
Maybe you have eclectic taste R23, but in no capacity is a Madge fan considered young and/or hip. You contradict yourself.
I guess you think Cher is still relevant too.
Her first albums reminds me of my senior year of high school
Erotic, Bedtime Stories and Music remind me of when I lived in NYC...
I sorta got over her after that.
[quote]not in my 50s. Considered young and "hip". Madge still has it guys. Sorry if you disagree.
Madonna's hip is broken.
Ooh, R-31 made me think Madonna should do a remake of "Sextette." Or is she too old to play Marlo Manners?
Ones who've been mentioned a lot: Joan Crawford, Faye Dunaway, Old Bette Davis, Mae West, Courtney Love, Kate Winslet, Heather Mills, Drew Barrymore, Gwen Stefani (a distant cousin as is Celine Dion on the French Canadian side), Linda Henry, Edie Falco, succubus, vampire, skeletor, madame
There are a million lookalikes if you go through her old pics where she can look like different people on any given day.
The ones most like her overall in looks and attitude is Joan/Faye/Bette/Mae, been said she's now morphing into them.
Mae was closest in some ways and it never gets picked up on. She was shocking in her day, was banned and a major fag hag. But no talent aside, didn't Mae have a sense of humour.. she gave good quote, but I dunno if they were her. Too good to be true, if they were she would be able to do more.
A stinky 13 year old mutt, who another boxer has just peed on, and needs to
crawl off, behind the trash cans, to quietly die.
MADBOT, I wish you could quit us.
A sociopath who used the talent of underlings to keep her brand afloat. And when that didn't work, relied on cheap, fame-whoring p.r. tactics.
R24, any person who has to rely on using the term "relevant" is neither young, nor hip, nor can identify a cliché in a sentence, like...OH YEAH, YOU!
R36 out-giggles us all!
Janbot, why do you persist in this race when you have no chance of winning?
"Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it ... You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"
We are switching to the new platform for The DataLounge this weekend. All of our mobile users have been using it for over a week and all first time users have been using it for about a month - which adds up to well over one million users. So we're ready to end this phase of the testing and move everybody to the new site. (more)
And yes, we've changed the look and some of how it operates.
Yes, we know you just *hate* it in well in advance.
Yes, we know we suck.
Yes, we are the biggest suckers that ever sucked.
But it was time for a change and with the huge shift to mobile it was long overdue. We've taken this opportunity not only to update the look but also make major changes under the hood (or "bonnet" if you're either British or pretentious or both). And we have to prepare for 2016 - a presidential election year where we can normally expect to see a 60% jump in traffic (yes, we've seen 5 presidential elections so far…Christ we're old).
The site has a bunch - nay, plethora - of new features which will make the site more usable: better search, the ability to ignore posters and threads, see link previews, to pick up a thread where you left off, spam and malware filtering and more.
If you want you can go explore and see for yourself, Click here.
And while running the tests we've noticed two interesting reactions to the new system - people are spending more time on the site and more people that come stay around longer and look at more stuff. Both good things. Yay!
Possibly we've not slain all the dragons and there will be issues that come up during the switchover. There's a help button in the lower right hand corner of the page which you can use to send us bug reports.
Please include as much information about the hardware (PC, Mac, Tablet, Phone etc), operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS etc) and browser (Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer etc) that you are using as possible to help us replicate and fix the problem.
Please note that complaints about colors, fonts, icons and the like are not "bugs" - they are design choices that we've made and we expect one or two cases of world-class bitching. But they won't actually cause headaches, scurvy, heart attacks, Restless Leg Syndrome, Morgellon's Disease or the vapors (but have your smelling salts at hand just in case).
Talking to DataLounge servers. Please wait a moment...
