*sigh* Another fatty masturbation thread.
Put the fork DOWN OP.
R1, how could you hate it when the new flavor doesn't even come out til tomorrow? You're a liar. You've never tried it. Try it - it's quite refreshing!
Well judging by their regular milk shakes its going to suck. Why? Because they hardly use any milk in that shake. Its basically frothed up with air to sell you more. Let one site out over night and what what happens to the fill line.
R4, you really should try just eating your food instead of performing Mr. Wizard-like experiments with them. Geesh!
If McDonalds would post a video of concocting the shake in their chemical test kitchen, that would be worth watching. What strange substances are they adding this time?
It's a smoothie not a shake. Just sayin'
How ironic. I just finished drinking half a glass of pomegranate juice I'd made. It's a bit of work: banging the seeds into a strainer, then mashing the juice through, but I have it down to a fine art, and do it daily as it scours out the arteries.
The thought of some blue-dyed artificially flavoured McCrap pig-fat shake gives me the shudders.
How many calories, and what % from fat?
It's a SMOOTHIE
His milk shake brings all the g0ys to the yard,
And they're like, OP's a tard
Damn right, OP's a tard
I could teach you
But I have to charge
enough sugar to drop a rhino. go for it fatties!!!!
Love blueberries. Love pomegranate. But mixed?
Oh, fank you, McDonald's!
Bless ya, OP!
I use your straw and drink your milkshake!
[quote]Love blueberries. Love pomegranate. But mixed?
No worries, honey. I doubt either fruit can be found in it.
Fortunately, Blue No.1 and Red No.3 mix well.
Looks like it's mostly cheap pineapple juice. It can come with or without yogurt. Still it seems healthier than a traditional ice cream shake.
r3 calling me a liar because the flavor hasn't come out yet but can say it's 'refreshing'. it's McDonalds, which means it's diarrhea frosting on a shit cake, now whirled in a blender!!!
Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf does a blueberry-pomegranate "ice blended" drink that's pretty good. And I've also seen blueberry-pomegranate sorbet. So I think the flavors are complementary.
i wouldn't mind trying it once. I try everything at least once.
Hey, can anyone recommend a good cookie? Not soft baked. I gotta get some for a friend. He did me a favor and I know he loves cookies but i don't really eat them so i have no clue. In NYC thanks!
R23, this smoothie is basically that. It's not a milkshake. And I tried one, it tastes good. I doubt it's very healthy though.
This thread reminded me of this comic, which for some reason cracks me up:
Hey, I usually don't go for frozen drinks, but the cherry berry drink is damn good.
Remember, the promotion is only for May 21 to 24th.
It gave me the shits.
How about dudes, r28?
No thank you, I prefer my magic foods which will keep me healthy forever.
Solution to the dietary pollution:
Get out your blender.
Whirl ice and milk beverage of choice: dairy, almond, rice, etc. Yogurt is an option, too.
Add fruit of choice. Try a handful of blueberries.
Add sweetener, or omit, as you wish.
Best smoothie you will ever enjoy, and in less time than it takes to go to McDonalds and deal with the nonsense there. No factory farmed crap in your homemade smoothie unless you add it in.
r32 here. If your smoothie is too thick and the blender won't turn, just add some liquid, either more milk, water or juice.
With all this talk about fast food on DataLounge constantly, last night I was tired and I went to Burger King, for the first time in a very great while.
It was bad, mediocre at best.
I got a Whopper with cheese, a stacker cheeseburger off the dollar menu (mainly to try it), and a small order of fries, also off the value menu.
With tax, I paid $7.14 for … fast-food hamburgers!
The fries were cold, and the stacker was worth one or two bites before I tossed it.
The vegetables and and condiments in the Whopper were good and the burger was wrapped for convenient eating while driving, but the meat was somewhat off-putting. Both grainy and tough at the same time.
So, it'll be a few years more before I "Have It My Way" again.
"Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it ... You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"
We are switching to the new platform for The DataLounge this weekend. All of our mobile users have been using it for over a week and all first time users have been using it for about a month - which adds up to well over one million users. So we're ready to end this phase of the testing and move everybody to the new site. (more)
And yes, we've changed the look and some of how it operates.
Yes, we know you just *hate* it in well in advance.
Yes, we know we suck.
Yes, we are the biggest suckers that ever sucked.
But it was time for a change and with the huge shift to mobile it was long overdue. We've taken this opportunity not only to update the look but also make major changes under the hood (or "bonnet" if you're either British or pretentious or both). And we have to prepare for 2016 - a presidential election year where we can normally expect to see a 60% jump in traffic (yes, we've seen 5 presidential elections so far…Christ we're old).
The site has a bunch - nay, plethora - of new features which will make the site more usable: better search, the ability to ignore posters and threads, see link previews, to pick up a thread where you left off, spam and malware filtering and more.
If you want you can go explore and see for yourself, Click here.
And while running the tests we've noticed two interesting reactions to the new system - people are spending more time on the site and more people that come stay around longer and look at more stuff. Both good things. Yay!
Possibly we've not slain all the dragons and there will be issues that come up during the switchover. There's a help button in the lower right hand corner of the page which you can use to send us bug reports.
Please include as much information about the hardware (PC, Mac, Tablet, Phone etc), operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS etc) and browser (Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer etc) that you are using as possible to help us replicate and fix the problem.
Please note that complaints about colors, fonts, icons and the like are not "bugs" - they are design choices that we've made and we expect one or two cases of world-class bitching. But they won't actually cause headaches, scurvy, heart attacks, Restless Leg Syndrome, Morgellon's Disease or the vapors (but have your smelling salts at hand just in case).
Talking to DataLounge servers. Please wait a moment...
