Zach Galifianakis came out on tonight's episode of Bill Maher!
Was this a joke?
He seemed serious.
Out as what?
he has a wife I think.
"Came out"? He's married. Talked about the farm he owns with his wife. He's also a comedian, perhaps your sense of humor is broken.
Of course it was a joke. Geez.
Maybe he likes the hole AND the pole?
Oh, my. Does she know?
He does have a wife - and he was wearing a wedding band.
But I'm with the OP on this. I thought it was weird that the guy said he was gay in such a straightforward way.
He's a really cute bear, I'd totally do him!
It's Bradley Cooper who should come out for real.
He's fat. No thanks.
what about Ed Helms?
And 90% of you bitches shoved him back in like a John Galliano frock.
Z.G. Is really fucking funny...consistently .
Is his wife named Steve?
I think it was an audacious joke.
It's Zak Galiflika-whatever -- of course it was a joke. Sounds like a stupid one too, but stupid and idiotic jokes are his thing.
I'm angry! I feel used. Boycotting Hangover Part Three, Four and Five!
Well, from what I can see of the characters he chooses to play: he goes out of his way to embrace his naturally effeminate persona for comedy's sake.
SE Cupp sucks. Miachael Moore was good.
Can't stand that loudmouth know it all, no nothing SE Cupp.
R13 = Galafstephanopoulos
He was part of Marry a Man video.
Can't stand him.
He looked really stoned.
I love his femme twin brother Seth.
He certainly sounded serious, and Bill played it as if he was very serious. I think he is. In today's climate saying you're gay as a joke because you have a movie coming out is not funny.
It IS possible to be gay and married.
[quote]He certainly sounded serious, and Bill played it as if he was very serious.
No and no he didn't. It was a joke.
It was a joke. Some of you people are too dense to draw breath.
It was totally a joke. What I found more insulting was his joke about being a gay farmer and "skipping through the fields".
Since he isn't really ever funny, it's hard to tell if he is joking or not.
He was trying very hard to be funny but I just found him annoying.
Speaking of Bill Maher, are there any body language experts out there who can explain what it means that he always closes his eyes when he shakes hands with people?
I don't understand how anyone can find Zach whatever his last name is funny. He's just not. He's annoying. He's trying to affect that Andy Kauffman mode of being overly serious so you don't know if it's a joke or not, but -- even though I wasn't a fan -- the difference is that Kauffman really was groundbreaking and clever and amusing. Zach? Not so much.
Michael Moore shouldn't have been so easy on SE Cupp. Mass shootings are down? I don't believe it but if they are it's only because the Post Office cleaned up its act.
Another example of how saying something incongruous isn't automatically funny. It was a weird thing to say -- there was no real setup, it seemed to come completely out of the blue. It was meant to be a joke. I just wish it had been meant to be a funny one.
Does SE Cupp think that calling herself SE makes us take her more seriously than "Sarah Cupp"? Her name sounds like a bra size. A C cup. At the very best, it makes me think "Southeast Cupp."
Why is joking about coming out funny?
I always thought he was as gay as a goose. I am certain of this.
I saw it; he didn't clarify and he should have.
He's told better jokes.
WHO!If you want to make a differance people should at least know who you are.
I saw an interview he did the other day where he seems to make fun of Tom Cruise for "bearding."
It was during the Hangover 3 press junket and the interviewer was complimenting his and Bradley Cooper's beards and then told Ed Helms that he should grow a beard. Then Ed said he didn't have enough testosterone to grow a full beard. Zack piped in and said "yeah some people can't grow them. Tom Cruise couldn't grow a beard so he just got one." The interviewer, Bradley and Ed all started laughing.
See? Brad isn't gay.
He was obviously not serious about coming out. Come on. I want to see the video of that Tom Cruise comment.
OP you really thought he was serious? Really?
This thread is filled with stupid.
Has anyone verified her "fact" that mass shootings are down over the past (30 years I think she said)?
Came out as if to say I have cancer. It was rude.
I always assumed he was out already. He's not gay? He always plays an annoying little fairy type. He appears to be obsessed with gays. And since when is a charade about coming out gay on national TV funny? I think the whole unfunny charade for publicity wreaks of his ongoing gay defamation and stereotyping. Just like saying, "that shirt is too gay", as if to say gay is a bad thing. Then he said, "... they say I should keep my gay job." And then "...just a gay farmer, skipping through the fields." Oh really? It was all wrong on a multitude of levels. Just because a comedian says seriously disrespectful things doesn't make them any less wrong. He's the "it gets worse" poster child of the year. Boo. Hiss.
I think he might have been poking fun at Star Trek's Zachary Quinto coming out as gay just in time for the movie release.
