UGH!!! I have to go to a podiatrist. I feel elderly.
Sounds like the heartbreak of pediaisis.
Probably best to go ahead and give me all your stuff.
Do it. I had to work a couple of conventions within a month for my job several years ago. I wore comfortable shoes with Dr. Scholl's but two consecutive days on my feet (and not moving around) killed me the first time. By the time my feet had begun to recover, I had to work another convention which completely did me in. My arches had fallen. It wasn't until I wore the orthodics for couple of weeks that I felt fully recovered. Once you get custom orthodics, your life will be much better.
Unless you're overweight. Have you had a recent, significant weight gain? An acquaintance of mine gained 60 pregnancy pounds (not as bad as it sounds, she's 6") and her arches collapse leading to serious pain.
Have you tried Crocs, OP? If you can't bear the thought, get some orthotics with arch support etc. and put them in your regular shoes. The Dr. Scholls are not bad.
Make sure you get enough magnesium and vitamin D.
These are things I'm sure many womyn will agree with.
six inches tall and pregnant? no wonder she was in pain
60 pounds is about 2-3 times more than you should gain when you're pregnant.
Not necessarily, R5. OBs decide that on a case by case basis.
60 pound weight gain is ok if you are six inches tall
And are you tender to the touch, dear?
I just want to clarify that I didn't design Stonehenge for Spinal Tap.
arthritis starts in the feet
Yoga helped my aching feet more than anything else.
Yoga and foot massages, that's the ticket!
