[quote]Exclusive: One Life to Live's Tuc Watkins Opens Up to Marie Osmond
I read this and at first thought, "Ewww!" If I ever opened my hole up to a woman, it would not be to Marie osmond.
I CANNOT believe this news! Consider my jaw dropped. Who would have ever guessed...that Tuc is a single father to twins?!?!
He still looked pretty good a couple of years ago on Desperate Housewives. The actor playing his SO was funny but they didn't really seem matched as a couple.
I always figured that he was gay, but never thought he'd actually come out.
But Congrats to him for having the courage to do so.
Soap thread, Editor. Flames & Freaks please!
I thought he was pretty hot in "The Mummy" and then his eyes got torn out.
Good for him on both accounts(being an out man and a dad).but these days it seems you have to get some children in order to come out of the closet-an understanding that you have to appease the straight majority by presenting yourself as a `normal` family man,and not some kind of `freak`.
Another, unrelated ,thing occurs to me:what if him being gay is some kind of connected, six degrees of separation thing: he worked with Lee Tergesen ,Lee Tergesen worked with Christopher Meloni...
Raising a kid as a single gay dad: HORRIBLE.
Nothing you could do would age you faster.
I'll bet he's nice to waiters, but wears cologne.
Oh my God,oh my God i MUST stop confusing Lee Tergesen and Kevin Rahm but what can i do:they`re both kind of bland. My bad,i feel embarrassed...huh,never mind,i don`t care about it.However,Tuc`s coming out should show all other glass closet,hiding-in-plain sight cases how it`s done, but i think we should first see just what kind of effect will it have on his career. However, let`s wish him the best(yes,we,DataLoungers).
R13, That's just mean.
Kids are wonderful little people and they won't age you no matter what sexual orientation you are.
Everybody's always a gay "something" (gay American, gay dad, fortunate homosexual man). Why don't they just say, "yep, I'm gay" like Ellen did? I guess they want to stress that their gayness doesn't define them?
Ricky Martin is a single dad.
Maybe he and Tuc should marry and have their own version of the brady bunch
My friend Freddy would be so excited about this news. We used to watch "Tooce" when David first came to Llanview, and Freddy would joke about how he'd gone to the Ruta Lee School of Acting. I never knew who Ruta Lee was, but I played along.
Are we sure Tuc wasn't playing some sort of prank to drum up publicity for the OLTL reboot, which JUST HAPPENS to begin on Monday? Tuc is known as a prankster, so faking being gay is something I can easily see him doing. Plus, I'm pretty sure I remember seeing pic of him several years ago out on the town with Liz Hendrickson while she was still at AMC. I'm not saying he's not gay, but I don't think his "confession" on Marie Osmond was anything more than a pubicity stunt.
A+++ parody post, r20!
No, he is not faking being gay.
It's hard to believe people like r20 actually read and post here.
So, who's next? I'm going to nominate Van Hansis.
When is John Wesley Shipp going to take the plunge?
That Joel Crothers was a strapping, handsome man. I bet he had to beat women off with a stick.
"Tuc is known as a prankster, so faking being gay is something I can easily see him doing."
R20: Girl, I think you need to un-Tuc!
I remember Tuc from "Beggars and Choosers," another show where his character was gay. I thought he was hot. I didn't know about his soap opera career nor have I ever seen "Despserate Housewives," so I'm not familiar with his work outside of "B&C."
So is Marie Osmond gay friendly?
When was he in?
[quote] When is John Wesley Shipp going to take the plunge?
I don't think that's ever happening.
What a shock.
I loved Beggars and Choosers!
Nice guy, good in bed, hung

How do you know?
I don't know if the show is live each day or not, but Tuc is supposed to be on that ABC afternoon show The Chew tomorrow.
If it isn't a pre-taped program, maybe he'll talk about the TV guide interview where he casually outed himself.
R20, brain-damaged people aren't treated well on DL.
He did talk about the story today on The Chew.
Well maybe 'talk about' isn't the right thing to say because there weren't any questions or any discussion about it from the hosts. He just sort of matter-of-factly stated the same things he does in the TV Guide interview.
He told the story about how he was playing a gay guy wanting to start a family on Desperate Housewives at the same time he was trying to find a surrogate in his personal life.
And he said that thing about knowing as a young person that he was gay and that he wanted to have a family some day.
He named his daughter Curtis and Catch. The daughter is Catch. (raised eyebrow)
Tuc and Nathan were rumored to be an item years ago.
Oh, dear. When he crosses his legs you can see where his sock ends and his pasty calf begins. I'm not sure he's gay if he's going to so easily break one of fashion's cardinal rules.
Tuc answered some questions for The Backlot (AfterElton).
He has something interesting to say about the perception of closeted gay celebs being perceived as ashamed. Anderson Cooper said something similar about how he didn't like knowing that people felt he stayed publicly closeted because it indicated being gay was something to be ashamed of.
