There was a story about the problems in Han Solo somewhere recently. Apparently the acting coach was hired to bring more Harrison Ford's Han Solo vibes to Alden's Solo. And, according to the story they achieved the goal and Ehrenstein was happy about it as well. The production itself was apparently a mess because the original directors, Lord and Miller, just weren't ready to handle such a huge production. When Ron Howard took their place things changed drastically and everything became fast and professional. Apparently Lord and Miller liked to do dozens of takes just to get variety for the editing room. Kathleen Kennedy and Lawrence Kasdan hated their style.

Even liked the film up until 80 year old Beatty got it on with the teenage girl in gross graphic detail. Then it was downhill all the way. Think Alden will survive Han Solo if it's a fiasco and turn into a good character actor
