Seriously, I never have had a friend and I'm 20 years old. Mostly because of childhood abuse I've had severe social phobia and never spoke to anyone in school.
My uncle died and left me a trust fund for therapy....it works!
Just wanted to encourage all you other loners out there!
Wow, congrats OP!
Therapy does work and I'm glad it worked for you.
This never happened.
Geez OP, if you were that bad off why didn't the uncle spring for your therapy while he was alive?
Were you more grateful or more embarrassed when the executor told you that you had been left a trust..... for therapy?
r3---I only met him when I was 18....he didn't really know much about me.
I looked him up after I found out he had similar issues. I had started therapy at college and he felt it was a good idea he wanted to encourage. I felt validated when I found out about the money because the rest of my family discouraged therapy. (his wife told me about it so it wasn't like a lawyer or something embarrassing.)
and I guess I could spend the money on other things but he just stated that that was why he left it to m.
