How long before Piers Morgan's show is cancelled ?
His show had the lowest ratings for a CNN primetime program in 21 years. He is insufferable and tedious to listen to. So when is he going back to England ?
I don't understand why he's still on either. Who is he blowing to keep his show?
Why don't they give this to Anderson Cooper? He would be a perfect fit.
R2 why does Anderson always have to be the suggested replacement for hosting something? How about we get some new younger faces on CNN?
Anderson is well-liked in the business and by fans, so that's a good jumping-off point. Piers has been disliked going back to his days as a judge on America's Got Talent.
Hoda Kotb would also do well in this job.

AC is not setting anyone's loins on fire at CNN or in the audience.
Time to fire her and get new blood!
R6 Thank you. Nobody's checking for Anderson anymore. His CNN ratings are dire and his talk show was a total flop. CNN needs a young, cute gay man and needs some new, fresh faces overall.

That's okay for a news reader, but for the Larry King type show, they need someone older who can discuss Mariah Carey as well as Cary Grant and Cary Elwess.
Piers is so much better than Larry King. His show rocks!
That's a really low bar R9
I'm convinced that his phone hacking past and current show have to be correlated.
He has to have dirt on somebody over at CNN.
Why he got a show in the first place is still one of the biggest mysteries in television.
Piers may be bad, but at least he's not "All In with Chris Hayes."
Doesn't he have a two year contract? He'll be gone when that ends. (plus Jeff Zucker will begin heavy revamping soon.)
They can get some new people, like that Strombo guy, but if AC leaves CNN, I'm done with them.
CNN's new ad has Anderson getting top billing so as much as some in this thread want him gone, it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

I'm sure they are quite worried about whether or not you watch r14.
Oh gee sarcasm. Considering that their ratings are in the toilet, they ought to be worried about every viewer they lose R15.
The crazy part is that they could get the old ratings back with Larry King, but it's so not the demo's they are looking for. My parents and that crowd would watch LK until their deaths.
I miss Tom Snyder and his colortinis.
Who watches him?
What's wrong with "All In with Chris Hayes", r12.
I haven't watched his show.
When he gets his teeth fixed.

R20. It's like watching paint dry.
Morgan can only blame himself for losing the show and the viewers. People can tolerate a self righteousness interviewer if they bring some other character trait like humor to balance their narcissism. Morgan is not funny, he reminds me of an undertaker with a superiority complex. Boring, stiff, and annoying.
Hey Piers, don't let your ego hit you in the arse on your way out.
"Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it ... You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"
We are switching to the new platform for The DataLounge this weekend. All of our mobile users have been using it for over a week and all first time users have been using it for about a month - which adds up to well over one million users. So we're ready to end this phase of the testing and move everybody to the new site. (more)
And yes, we've changed the look and some of how it operates.
Yes, we know you just *hate* it in well in advance.
Yes, we know we suck.
Yes, we are the biggest suckers that ever sucked.
But it was time for a change and with the huge shift to mobile it was long overdue. We've taken this opportunity not only to update the look but also make major changes under the hood (or "bonnet" if you're either British or pretentious or both). And we have to prepare for 2016 - a presidential election year where we can normally expect to see a 60% jump in traffic (yes, we've seen 5 presidential elections so far…Christ we're old).
The site has a bunch - nay, plethora - of new features which will make the site more usable: better search, the ability to ignore posters and threads, see link previews, to pick up a thread where you left off, spam and malware filtering and more.
If you want you can go explore and see for yourself, Click here.
And while running the tests we've noticed two interesting reactions to the new system - people are spending more time on the site and more people that come stay around longer and look at more stuff. Both good things. Yay!
Possibly we've not slain all the dragons and there will be issues that come up during the switchover. There's a help button in the lower right hand corner of the page which you can use to send us bug reports.
Please include as much information about the hardware (PC, Mac, Tablet, Phone etc), operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS etc) and browser (Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer etc) that you are using as possible to help us replicate and fix the problem.
Please note that complaints about colors, fonts, icons and the like are not "bugs" - they are design choices that we've made and we expect one or two cases of world-class bitching. But they won't actually cause headaches, scurvy, heart attacks, Restless Leg Syndrome, Morgellon's Disease or the vapors (but have your smelling salts at hand just in case).
Talking to DataLounge servers. Please wait a moment...
