Major League Baseball opens season with tribute to the Newtown CT. victims
To the Aurora CO victims they say fuck off who cares.
Get a life, you miserable pissant.
I know the Yankees did a Newtown tribute but did other teams? Yankees did Newtown because it's in the same market. Don't know if the Rockies did one for Aurora.
The Rockies opened this season on the road in Milwaukee.
But since the Aurora massacre was last summer during the 2012 season, the Rockies responded immediately. They were out of town for the first game immediately after the attack, but host city San Diego had a moment of silence prior to the start of that game.
As soon as the team returned to Denver, Rockies players went to the hospitals to visit the injured survivors.
So OP is, as occasionally is the case with OPs, way off base (pun intended) with his/her criticism.
Why didn't they mention they Munich Olympic victims?
Doubt the parents want to be constantly reminded of their loss.
What about us?
If only people weren't so fucking set on pretzels and hot dogs.
Hey Yankees, it isn't a tribute unless the kids' choir sings the SSB.
To keep ripping off the scab with these remembrances is not healthy. Even a president only gets 30 days of mourning.
Sure, R6, because I'm sure if not for baseball tributes, they'd have moments where they "forget" they lost a child.
You don't know shit about being a parent or losing a kid if you think their every waking moment doesn't include thoughts of the child they lost.
Mere moves by PR depts to try to be relevant and sympathetic. If they really cared, the Yankees and Red Sox should have made statements supporting gun legislation. This is an empty gesture.
