It's called a holler. But in the Northeast it might be called a hollow.
I don't know if all those people from Jersey Shore will end up alive and well...I would think they will have problems down the road. Are people actually wanting to hire Snookie?
Shain gandee is not dead they have to have proof so if they don’t then its not true an if they do it I’d true just show me a pic or video to see if its true - The saddest news ever it should’ve been him it should’ve been nobody nobody deserves to die especially him - And I would really appreciate you all at least spell his f**king name right. It’s SHAIN. I’ll always love you angel - My cousin gone :(( waaaaaaaaaaaaa
What a family tragedy. Who is his cousin going to marry now?
Is r26 a parody post? Because that is some Deliverance banjo playing screwed up post right there, folks.
r28 I think it's from the comments section of the story, it has to be.
really sorry to hear this.
hoping that maybe this is just an April fool prank by MTV and TMZ?
You must be kidding? Any legit organization would NEVER use this as a practical joke.
Thank God it wasn't Tyler.
Y'all! My cooter is itchin so BAD right now! I AM SERIOUS!!!!!
[quote]"They were mudding and got stuck in a mud hole," the source said. "They left the engine running, which caused the carbon monoxide poisoning."
Strange that they aren't able to tell how it all happened. If it was carbon monoxide, why were they sitting there inhaling it? Did they fall asleep?
Maybe they found them all with their pants off and the families are keeping it quiet?
Have they identified the third person?
I read a thing in People online that said MTV was filming at the time. I wonder if this is true and if they can be blamed somehow for not stopping three drunks from going and doing something dumb. Teen Mom has been cancelled because dumb cunt Jenelle is probably going to be dead from drugs soon and MTV doesn't want to be sued. I hope they are, they fucking suck for foisting this shit on us.
How do you explain the gunshot wound? Murder-suicide?
I heard he jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge
I read that someone else appearing on the show was arrested for dealing heroin and oxy. Nice crowd.
[quote] why were they sitting there inhaling it? Did they fall asleep?
When I was in high school two students who were just parked in a running car talking died of carbon monoxide poisoning. Turned out their was something wrong with the car to allow the exhaust to leak in. I guess one could be inhaling that stuff and not even realize it. Kind of scary.
doh meant to type turned out there was something wrong with the car.
sorry about his death.
But "cute" and "redneck" should never be in the same sentence.
R37, I didn't think the Teen Mom cancellation was definitive. They were concerned about that mess Jenelle but had only considered canceling the series. I hope it stays on. That guy Javi who's with the fat, selfish, controlling loon mom is actually kinda hot. So is Adam.
r44 I know, Kailyn is fucking gross with her piggy, zitty face. I heard it was cancelled awhile ago and that the ones being aired right now were already filmed and were supposed to be shown next year but that they want to get them out now and be done with it. If it is cancelled you will still be able to read about their trashy lives in Ok and other tabs.
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Shain pass out from carbon monoxide poisoning while off-roading last night. I guess it's pretty serious.
Who was the third guy?
R41, this past winter in Boston a 14-year-old kid died from carbon monoxide poisoning. It was very tragic. We'd had a blizzard and he was outside helping his father shovel. He got cold and tired and decided to rest inside the car for a bit, but the tailpipe was still covered with snow and the car filled up with carbon monoxide. After 15 minutes the father finished up and went inside the car and found his son unconscious. Because of this a safety alert was issued about shoveling snow away from the car's exhaust pipe.
Gawd, from a fan on the OMG site:
"I liked Shain the best out of the group, stayed the same throughout the show," wrote another fan. "I never understood what he said but he seemed like a good kid."
Just don't fucking say anything. How do you know he was great if you couldn't understand him? Idiot.
why can't cars have built-in CM detector?
like you know, it will alarm or something.
yaaaaaaahhoooooo Mountain Dew!!
What's with the proliferation of all these redneck reality shows? Is there a cable channel nowadays that doesn't have one?
Come an' listen to my story 'bout a man named Shain...
...poor mountaineer there was nothin' in his brain.
And then one day he was drivin' through the mud,
truck got stuck he just sat there like a dud.
Motor runnin'. Tail-pipe blocked... carbon monoxide.
The MTV Hillbillies!
Thats a good idea R50 maybe now they will.
[quote]If it was carbon monoxide, why were they sitting there inhaling it? Did they fall asleep?
A friend of mine has a son-in-law who not too long ago discovered his sister, her husband and a friend of theirs dead in a vehicle they were off-roading in. They got stuck in mud and revved it so fiercely that they were rapidly overcome by carbon monoxide poisoning. Apparently one of them was in the process of opening a window and had only gotten it down a couple inches before they passed out and asphyxiated.
R35, they're from the SOUTH.
This is even worse than when the Mahatma, Indira, and Rajiv were all assassinated. That Gandee name is cursed, even when spelled wrong.
He was a CUTE hillbilly. I'm sorry he's gone.
[quote]How do you explain the gunshot wound? Murder-suicide?
All the reports I've read online say there were no signs of foul play.
He died the way he lived. Stupidly.
Sorry he is dead, but he was ugly not cute.
I only knew of him and this show from clips on The Soup. He was an adorable idiot.
The sad part about it all is that on the Today Show they were saying the family was accepting donations for his burial since they couldn't afford it. So the only one benefiting here is MTV. Exploiting dumber than rocks young people for profit.
It doesn't mean MTV didn't pay him. It means he spent all the money.
Another human sacrifice ritual for the satanist reptiles at Viacom. No big deal.
The show was a bad idea. And it was a bad show. Awful.
Everyone is lying, this is a cover-up. The weather was very mild in that area this weekend. No way would they have the windows up out goofing like that. And no, they didn't call it a night and hunker down til morning- with the car running.
But it's West Goddamn Virginia. You're never going to find out what happened. Drugs, revenge... Those hicks are so clannish.
He is cute in a I'm really drunk kind of way.
Three less idiots. I'm sorry but people like "Shaine" are the reason society has gone downhill. Isn't there some kind of camp where we can round up people like "Shaine" and put them inside? Like a concentration camp without the gas and the ovens.
[quote]Three less idiots.
There have always been people like Shaine.
R70 beat me to it.
Fuck off, R70. Typically fewer is used with count nouns but in this instance it is acceptable as idiots is counted as a mass and not individually. So bite me.
I'd say "fewer" too.... "less" just "sounds wrong" in this case. Besides, idiots are countable, even if only theoretically (because they are so numerous). Like "grains of sand" is fewer, but "sand" is less... "idiots" is fewer, but "idiocy" is less.
You must be kidding!? MTV won't pay for his funeral? They should step up...what a bunch of jerks.
When I was a kid I knew a family of 6 who died that way...so odd that I can't even remember their names now.
I think the kid was cute but what difference does it make now? It's just sad.
[quote]what difference does it make now?
I bet he's super hard.
Add his visage to the Twilight Cafe painting.
[quote]See, this boy has saved lives all over the country.
And that's a damn shame.
It says a lot about this godawful show that it's barely been on and one of its cast members is already dead.
I've never watched this piece of shit, but I've heard that it's a reality show about a bunch of bored young white trash retards who have "fun" in outlandish, incredibly stupid ways. Of COURSE somebody in this brain-dead bunch ended up dead. They'll probably all die prematurely in one way or another.
[quote]You must be kidding!? MTV won't pay for his funeral? They should step up...what a bunch of jerks.
Why should they pay? Does your job pay for funerals? He got paid for the show. He died yesterday, the body wasn't even cold before the family started the money grab.
Raising money for the funeral of someone who was paid to be on tv is the height of tackiness. How much could the funeral cost anyhow? Sell his shit to pay for it. Problem solved.
Was it the family asking for money? I read about a "mudding" that's been turned into a fundraiser by its organizers.
Yes they are asking for money, raising funds by doing what killed the guy:
Despite Shain's fame since "Buckwild's" premiere in January, he did not have much money and his family is struggling to pay for his funeral. So they are planning to both raise funds and honor their beloved with a "mud run" on Wednesday in Proctorville, Ohio, which is not far from Charleston, West Virginia, where the show is filmed. For $10 per vehicle, participants can take part in the off-road event, which was one of his favorite pastimes.
Ashley Gandee Lewis will also be accepting donations at her Crown City, Ohio, general store, where the reality star made an appearance on Saturday for the grand opening. "We actually had people here from Texas, from Dayton, Ohio, from Pennsylvania," she told Radar Online. "People drove hundreds of miles just to meet him because he was such a lovable guy."
I hope they've made a bunch of that Gandee Candee they were selling at the flea market!
"Raising money for the funeral of someone who was paid to be on tv is the height of tackiness."
Have you never heard of a wedding with a cash bar, R85?
[quote]Isn't there some kind of camp where we can round up people like "Shaine" and put them inside?
That's a great idea. I can build another TV show around it.
He was paid $1000 per episode for the first season for doing what he normally does. They got a raise to $4000 for the second season and a $t5000 bonus.
Wow, R91. Humiliating.
And the "Darwin Award" for three birds with one stone goes to...
Why humiliating? That was probably more in a week then he ever made. they were nobodies, not celebrities. No producer is going to give a bunch of nobodies big bucks right off. It took a few seasons for the Jersey Shore to start making good money.
The show was horrible.
And MTV will get at least three episodes out of this situation - it's a bonus for them.
Live fast, die young, and leave a beautiful corpse.
MTV and the show's producers are paying for the funeral.
r100 I'm sure that won't stop his cousin and family from fundraising because that's just gravy now.
There's a rumor that MTV filmed the whole thing and fled the scene when they realized that the cars occupants were dead.
Why would they flee? Unless they knew the occupants were inhaling carbon monoxide (unlikely) they have nothing to hide.
Allow me to explain "muddin"
These hicks get into big trucks and go up trails that are for ATVs. Not for trucks. The reason they call it "muddin" is because the big trucks get stuck in the mud of the track that they are not supposed to be driving on.
This Shain person has been shown laughing about a girl he took "muddin" who was ascairt becuz he wuz goin 60 mph on a narrow trail in his big truck. In the mud. She jumpt out and sed she ain't never doin that agin becaust it wuz dangeriz. Hee, hee! Can you majjin? Takin a big truck onto a muddy trail that is too small for it and goin 60 mph -- dangerizz?
Well. Yeah. It is. Y'all git stuck and don't have the sense to shet yore car off when yer tailpipe is buried, y'all can die.
And git this -- the local po-leese officer made sure to tell the press that not only does e'erybody go muddin round them parts, but that it ain't got no 'g' on the endda it. It's muddin, not mudding.
[quote]There's a rumor that MTV filmed the whole thing and fled the scene when they realized that the cars occupants were dead.
No there isn't. They went "muddin" sometime after they left a bar at 3 am and were reported missing later in the morning after they hadn't returned from the bar parking lot. Their friends and family went out looking for them. A friend on his ATV found the truck and called police.
In what Bizarro world is he considered cute?
[quote] In what Bizarro world is he considered cute?
Datalounge, where men sigh over serial killers, thugs and meth addicts under 40 with an wistful "IFHH."
Serial killers, thugs and meth addicts over 40 are declared hot daddies.
R107 wins post of the year.
Thread closed. DL closed.
WXbmaster (for real)
Also, Darwin Award winners.
Live by the mudpit, die by the mudpit
If only MORE stupid ugly morons would die before breeding... this country would be a better place, and there'd certainly be fewer Republicans.
When I first read about this the article made it seem like they were murdered.
And none of the guys on that show are cute. And are some of those girls really from WV? Some of them sound like they're from Socal.
[quote]Allow me to explain "muddin"
Honey, we all know what muddin is. Whatever that was you just did on that post was unnecessary.
Has it been determined what caused their deaths?
Carbon monoxide poisoning.
The stupidest part of it is that the sheriff said the driver's side door was not trapped in mud. As in, the driver's side door was openable.
Then again, the windows were probably openable, too and the stupid shits didn't crack a few.
R117, they were doubtlessly unaware that there was carbon monoxide entering the cab and they were overcome by it. "Mudders" keep the windows shut to keep the mud from splattering into the car.
'Buckwild' Producer Rips MTV: 'This Will Get Ugly' (Exclusive)
11:01 PM PDT 4/9/2013 by Lacey Rose
The sudden cancellation of MTV’s hit reality series Buckwild following star Shain Gandee’s death has producer J.P. Williams livid.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter late Tuesday, Williams, who manages most of the cast members and produces the show, took particular aim at MTV for pulling the plug midway through filming on the second season.
"This is the network that has shows about teen pregnancy. They'll stick by a show that allows you to abandon a child, but a kid dies by accident doing what he does for a living [mudding], and they cancel the show?” he fumes. “There's something that smells of s--- here on every level."

Reps for MTV could not immediately be reached for comment.
News of the show’s cancellation comes a week or so after Gandee, 21, was found dead April 1 in his vehicle, along with his uncle and a friend, after going off-roading, or “mudding,” on a remote road in West Virginia. The local sheriff’s office ruled the death was caused by carbon monoxide poisoning. The network had suspended production as it considered whether to continue the hit series, which was intended to fill a void left by one-time juggernaut Jersey Shore.
According to Williams, his Beverly Hills-based Parallel Entertainment along with production company Zoo Productions were informed Friday that MTV would be moving forward with the series. At that time, the network had four episodes in the can and was planning to shoot four more, plus a special dedicated to Gandee to kick off the season. But Williams says MTV brass followed up Tuesday with a different message for the show’s producers: The network had opted to cancel the series instead.

“There was no explanation,” he says, still bewildered. He adds that the cast, which had planned to come to Los Angeles for the MTV Movie Awards this weekend, had not been informed of the news. The network is expected to formally announce the show’s cancellation Wednesday morning. A special, which was shot before Gandee’s death and was produced by an outside production company, is still expected to air.
Williams, who manages eight of the show’s cast members, including Gandee, does not intend to move on to other projects. In fact, he suggests that he will continue shooting the series and will look to produce a Buckwild film, which he would self-finance if need be. "My job is to protect these kids,” he tells THR, adding: “This will get ugly.”
