I would watch her eat maraschino cherries from a jar.
You betcha, ya.
If the critics like it, yes. I wonder if she'll still be an active duty cop or will have been promoted to a desk job. She's 55.
She's the sheriff!
They've got to keep the comic tone of the movie, that was half of its appeal. And it's going take really good writing to retain that tone.
France's will not be starring in this show. All new characters in the tone of the movie.
r6 is saying no Frances, and all new characters. What's complicated about that? I looked, and I'm not seeing any conformation of Frances' involvement.
No, R6 stated that something belonging to France will not be starring in the show. Now is that France the country or France Nuyen?
Oh hardy har har...
the Coen Brothers are going to produce it, so I would expect an elevated quality level. Have they done TV before?
Kathy Bates directed a Fargo pilot about ten years ago, with Edie Falco as Marge.
I always thought Fargo should have a sequel but I heard The Coen don't like brepeating themselves>
Starring Martin Freeman?
Billy Bob Thornton
Is it a miniseries? Characters are listed in no more than 4 episodes
Martin Freeman's hobbies include reading, writing and rape.
I love Martin Freeman, and Billy Bob.
Wonder why Billy wears that rug on his head? He should just be bald and proud!
I'd really prefer not to see Billy Bob in the Fargo I'm hoping for. Screw the fancy casting ... pray for writing.
The show debuts April 15th, and it's been announced it's a limited 10 episode series. Bob Odenkirk is busy with his own series, a Breaking Bad spinoff.
I hope this is better than the last attempt at a FARGO series with Falco. The pilot was shown a few years ago, and it was pretty flat. Much as I love Falco, she wasn't nearly as good as McDormand, who has a certain loopy quality than the more grounded, tough-minded Falco couldn't manage.
R15 Fargo will be a 10 episode mini-series. If it does well in the ratings, then it'll be renewed as an anthology series like American Horror Story and True Detective where every season will start with a different story and new characters.
BTW it was revealed by one of the AHS writers in a podcast that season 4 of AHS will be set in a carnival. Freak show!

Dibs on the Fat Lady role!
R16's hobbies include pearl clutching, mug cradling and caftan shopping.
How many interesting things can happen in Brainerd?
There have been a few snippets on television lately. Not good. Lousy Minnesota accents, especially the Sheriff. Completely ruins it.
It looks from the clips as if it will tell the story of the movie, only with different actors. Like Bob Oddenkirk's will be the Frances McDormand character, Martin Freeman will be the Wm Macy character, etc
It must have been pure hell to have been on a set with Bob Odenkirk AND Martin Freeman.
Odenkirk and Freeman are both known to have hairtrigger tempers.
r25, I imagine they're going for QUIRKY AND SURREAL REGIONAL HUMOR like Northern Exposure with OMINOUS OVERTONES like Twin Peaks. Only, you know, like a Coen Brothers movie.
Freeman's common law wife Amanda Abbington declared bankruptcy to avoid paying a £125k tax bill. She's been a regular on 4 tv series as well as doing steady guest shots on tv for years and lives with Freeman in a $1.5m home. She'll pay very little of what she owes.
She and Freeman are a couple of scammers.
Will it have a wood chipper scene?
I misread this to understand that television is finally coming to Fargo.
Liked the first episode, but BBT's wig is ridiculous
Now I understand why characters are scheduled to appear in only 4 episodes: (1) need to squeeze all the stars who want get into this show; (2) then they kill them.
Breaking all the rules. Yay ... Also, according to the schedule, Frances will be in next week's episode.
