Have you anything to say about horse-face David Gregory? Tim Russert was a lumpy fug. Chris Matthews would never be allowed on TV decades ago because of his weight and face and irritating voice.
Lets make a loooong list.
I don't really look to news and political programs for eye candy.
But, boy that Walter Cronkite was a real hottie! And Edward R. Murrow? Sex on a stick. Huntley and Brinkley were sweetmeat, too.
Chris Matthews' speech is the WORST!
I remember he once criticized someone's "NJ accent." He should listen to his own speech some time.
(And Wolfie Blizter's speech is awful, too. He accents the wrong syllables and has a dull monotone. And he's even ugly with his facelift and nose job.)
Not a Chuck Todd fan.
Cannot figure out what he brings to the party.
He looks like he would be a character on bobs burgers.
Tim Russert hired him. It takes an ugly to hire another ugly to make him look better.
Chuck Todd is a great numbers cruncher - as an analyst ... NEXT!
He was terrible as the guest host on MTP this morning. However, Peggy Noonan was in full camp mode today. I love how she looks up into the sky and squints her eyes before she speaks, as if her words are coming straight from heaven.
None of those guys are/were deformed, R1/R3.
CT wouldn't look too bad with some neck lipo and a hair system.
Oh, David Gregory IS DEFORMED.
Exactly, R9! And how she... pauses... after... every... word... as if ... everything... she says... is of historical import.
Or maybe she's just trying to keep the morning's vodka down.
Chin lipo isn't for Todd -- losing 75 pounds would do it.
He's no fugliest than David Gregory or the late Tim Russert. Is there a rule that you have to be a troll to host MTP?
Anyway, I can't remember the exact quote, but a few years ago someone on DL cracked me up by pointing out that Chuck Todd looks like he has sauce from buffalo wings smeared on their face. He's clearly one of those guys who has to be the smartest one in this room (yet his name screams "classless striver").
He looks like a booger-eating baboon!
Chuck needs to chuck the facial hair.
He dropped out of GWU. That's like quitting a 100 meter dash at the Special Olympics, halfway through.
I think everything about Chuck Todd is great including his moderator job on Meet the Press today, his well-developed intellect, and his world of knowledge about politics and government.
Well, after all that nasty criticism DL, it seems you like me best.
Nepotism heir apparent Luke Russert
Chuck Todd reminds me of that reporter guy that CJ dated (I think) in the West Wing. David Gregory is heinous looking...true definition of a face made for radio.
David Gregory – he of the Homer Simpson philtrum.
On the contrary, R16, the facial hair saves him a little. If Todd didn't have it, he'd look more like Alfred Hitchcock.
Anonymous DL poster on Chuck Todd:
[quote]He looks like one of those fat obnoxious guys who spends his spare time working on an app that allows people to find the nearest buffalo wing specials.
I think Chuck Todd looks fine. There is nothing wrong with the way he looks.
And his well-developed intellect and extensive knowledge of politics and government far outweight any focus on how he happens to look.
He also had a very good personality.
Well developed intellect? His intellect is a fetus in a mason jar.
Peggy Noonan sucks Ronald Reagen's ghost cock
I hate this bitch
You're a shallow fuck OP.
(not that there aren't perfectly reasonable reasons not to like Chuck Todd)
I cannot stand the very affected, smug Peggy Noonan either.
Her ridiculous affectations and posturing and overly dramatic pauses during her inane statements which completely lack substance at all times are extremely grating and make he detest her.
sorry, outweigh - not outweight
I love how Peggy N. quoted some obscure book she read and the "BIG" quote was "We're in the same boat".
WTF? She's a fucking fraud.
I detest Chuck Todd, but not for his looks. He & David Gregory, Mika & Joe Scarborough are my least favorite MSNBC-ers. I find Todd to be smug, snide, and narrowminded, and he's way oversold as some kind of expert, which he is definitely not. I think he's an asshole.
He offers these insights and analyses as if he were some kind of insider and he isn't. My numbers guy is Nate Silver now & forever. Todd and Luke Russert belong to Tim's era. They need to go.
I like Chuck. For the most part he is balanced and analytical unlike David Gregory.
As for Peggy Noonan- everytime I hear her talk in the smug, sing-song voice I just want smack her!
Strange, but I've never found Chuck Todd particularly unattractive. Certainly no more so than a lot of males that preside over news broadcasts, that's for sure.
r33 = CT's wife
I enjoy his reports and analysis on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams.
[quote]I like Chuck. For the most part he is balanced and analytical unlike David Gregory.
For the most part? I've seen him be incredibly partisan, and always towards Republicans. It feels more like he's faking it when he's not bashing Democrats or Obama, but actually, you know, trying to report the truth every once in a while.
I don't hate him as much as David Gregory, but he's pretty awful at times.
Fortunately, most of us don't watch TV news programs for the newscaster's beauty.
Mr. Todd isn't so much a Republican, as he doesn't like the Obama Administration. He's great at crunching the numbers re: electoral politics, but as an "analyst" he's pretty bad.
Indeed he can get quite petty ... last year he tried to goad Matthews into a fight on air, but Chris wouldn't bite saying (paraphrased): "I see where you want to go, and that's not going to happen."
Chuck Todd is the sort of chinless and spineless wonder who was born to spout lies like "the Surge is working!"
Love the Peggy comments- and I defintely agree.
Indifferent about all three: Chuck Todd, Luke Russert, and David Gregory. Have no personality, no insight. no real knowledge. worse than John King of CNN. Just nothings. not sure why they are even on the air.
At least Chris Matthews- has some sort of "it factor".... What it is..I do not know.... but somehow - he is better (even w/his grating voice)
I agree with R38; Chuck Todd obviously doesn't like Obama.
Further, far too often, he injects himself into the news, trying to stir up trouble. For instance, during Obama's recent visit to Israel, Todd asked the following questions:
To Obama: "We’re in your second term with the Middle East peace process. What went wrong? Why are we further away from a two-state solution?...Did you push Israel too hard? What do you wish you would have done differently?"
To Bibi Netanyahu, including:
"...[D]o you accept the president’s understanding that Iran is a year away when it comes to nuclear weapons?...Why do you believe the Israeli people have not embraced President Obama the same way they embraced our last two presidents?"
He is a smug bastard and an embarrassment as a US "newsman" globally.
Perhaps Chuck Todd can explain to us why the US media has been claiming that Iran is "eighteen months away from having a nuclear bomb" for the last ten or twelve years.
He's pissed. Obama does not give the White House correspondence the access they want. Obama hates talking to them because none of them report the news anymore. Todd and his friends are more interested in putting a spin to it.
Well, this settles it!
Chuck Todd should be taken out to The Ellipse and horsewhipped, with prejudice.
Chuck Todd isn't ugly, he's merely average looking.
Charles Krauthammer is ugly.
Chris Matthews isn't just fat & ugly with a voice that sounds like nails on blackboard, he's an arrogant jackass.
Chris Matthews insists people pronounce Dick Cheney's name "Cheeeeeeny" not "Chaainy." He said on Joe Scarborough that the "only reason Hillary got the senate seat was because her husband fooled around." (He would say/do anything to get Obama nominated in 2008).
There's more, did you see him on Jeopardy?
I have a confession.
I find male gingers, on the whole, repulsive.
But I think Chuck Todd is hot as hell.
I don't know why.
I love Chris Matthews. He's obnoxious, rude, grating, and opinionated. What you see is what you get. But he's also smart, experienced, and passionate. He loves government, history, and politics. I love that when I watch him I both know exactly what to expect, and never know what to expect. And I don't recall any other white man of his prominence being so consistently outspoken about racism.
In fact, MSNBC, Matthews, Sharpton, Maddow, Ed Schultz, Larry O'Donnell, and their punditocracy:David Korn, Katrina Vanden Heuvel, Joan Walsh, Melissa Harris Perry, Chris Hayes, Touree, The Reid woman from Griot, Alex Wagner, Jonathan Alter, Eugene Robinson, all of them are interesting, provocative, and intelligent.
They distinguish themselves by their energy and their brilliance. It's the Tiffany line-up of the editorial/current affairs analysis programming on TV. I love that they have great sources like Mother Jones, Salon, The Nation, and Politico, Nate Silver, and are on the cutting edge of credible new media analysis and information.
The only commenter I cannot stand is Michael Erik Dyson. He is infuriating. They need to send him over to CNN. He'd do well as a replacement for Roland Martin. His affected style and race based commentaries are anachronistic.
Howard Fineman is like Chuck Todd. Neither one likes Obama. There's something so intellectually dishonest about Fineman, and something so snide and chip on the shoulder about Todd, Todd reminds me of Ed Henry.
Obama likes The MSNBC crowd mostly, but he reserves his face time for two people: Brian Williams and Rachel Maddow. Like everyone else, Barry loves Rachel.
Howard Fineman is OH SO MUCH BETTER than Chuck Todd.
Yes Charles K - now that is ugly and would scare anyone!
I'd do him.
they use that special makeup on Chuck Todd where they make his neck just under where his jaw line should be a shade or two darker.
It is very distracting to say the least. Can't he loose some weight and work out a little?
Charles Krauthammer is ugly in both face and soul.
On the other hand, Savannah Guthrie has unexpected beauty.
Chuck Todd is adorable. He's a bit too conservative at times, but then he will say something that is more perceptive.
