It's A Pity It Took Rob Portman To Shame Democrats Into Voicing Support For Marriage Equality.

Since Portman's announcement, Mark Begich (AK), Mark Warner (VA), Claire McCaskill (MO), Jay Rockefeller (WV), Jon Tester (MT) and Kay Hagan (NC), have all made public statements about their support. All of them represent red states (although Virginia is kind of purple at this point), and Begich, Hagan, and Warner are all up for re-election next year. I believe Warner has a lesbian sister, and he could become a Muslim and probably still win in a walk, so that's not terribly surprising, but I am sad it took him this long to get there. Hagan and Begich both have tough fights, and I hope this might behoove some of you to throw some coin their way.
