Not that I give a shit since I don't watch "reality" nonsense, but were you always bad at reading comprehension? Where does it say he wasn't happy making $20M?
[quote]He reportedly has been making $20 million a year, but CTD was looking to trim his compensation in line with a decline in his ratings.
What he isn't happy with is them wanting to CUT that $20M, not refusing to give him more.
See the difference between what you said and what is actually written? Work on that, honey.
It's a show for stay-at-home black people R2.
R1 takes her daytime reality trash television VERY seriously.
[quote]It's a show for stay-at-home black people [R2].
Yeah, kind of like how Judge Judy is a show for stay-at-home white people.
Judge Judy is funny. You can tell she can barely control the racial stereotypes floating through her head when she gets some rowdy black people in there,
The first thing that popped into my mind was how long it would take someone to do the token DL "who"? post, this time it only took two posts. There are so many judges I can't tell who's who.
If Judge Brown is making 20 mill a year then what the fuck is Judge Judy making? 200 million a year?
I admit it-I love the judge shows, but JJB was easily my least favorite of them all. He's rude (barely looks at the defendent half the time) and is so pompous it's a real turn off. And, btw, did anyone ever notice how the bailiffs on these shows are always the opposite race of the judge? What's up with that????
They wouldn't dare offer a white man that kind of salary.
White men are so 1960s. Mad Men is over. The WASPs lost.
I do think it's funny how no white guy is a judge on one of these trailer trash epics. Wasn't Judy's husband the last?
Oh my, aren't YOU a little racist R11?
Hey, wanna see a REAL rant based on race? We OWN you cunt. We make more, excel more, are overwhelmingly more productive in every society on Earth, we're more honest, less violent and hold more positions of power. We've achieved more than your demographic will ever have time to attempt to achieve. We helped drive racism in America, but were the driving force to help abolish it in the end. We invent more, cure more diseases and have sacrificed more for our countries and the world at large than any other group of people, arguably.
So, keep convincing yourself with your race based dreams sweety, but I'll get the job, the girl, the guy, the credit, the victory, the pay-off and the glory long before your tired ass ever will.
Sucks to be you, doesn't it?
My people are the only true Americans. The WASP cunts stole our land and started polluting it. Get out of here, fucking Euro trash.
I watch Judge Judy and The People's Court, but I thought Judge Joe Brown was boring.
Now, if they could just get rid of that ignorant cunt, Judge Judy.
Judge Alex is a white male. We've also got Dr. Oz, Steve Wilkos, and Jeremy Kyle. White guys preside over plenty of filth.
R8 Judge Judy makes over $45 million a year.
Which one is he?
A few years ago there was a white male TV judge who was openly gay. He would sing showtunes from the bench. Is he still on the air? Does he make $20 million/year?
JJB always looked and sounded hung over and ready to let out a great big nasty boozy belch. The only time he seemed alert was when strippers were before him. I think he masturbated underneath his robe during those shows.

Did he come on before or after the Hispanic judge who comes out wearing a sombrero and carrying a leaf-blower?
The gay judge was David Young. He didn't last long, but that was during the years when there were about 15 different judge shows. There was also:
Judge Christina Perez, Judge Hatchett, Judge Mills Lane, Judge Gunn, Judge Mabelean (Divorce Court), Judge Lynn Toler (Divorce Court now), Judge Judy, Judge Alex, Judge Joe Brown, Judge Marilyn Milian, Judge Mathis, Judge Maria Lopez, Judge Karen Mills and one other black female judge. She was young, pretty with long hair and a southern accent.
R19, no he only lasted one season. Nice guy, but the show didn't work.
So what's Mr. Brown going to do now? Even if they wanted to trim his salary, it was probably still going to be 15 million or more. I don't think they could've wanted to cut it in half, but even if they did that's still 10 million, which you'd think would be plenty of incentive to film a season of formula court show episodes. Unless he wanted to retire, it wasn't the best move. But he does have plenty of money to retire.
I forgot about this horrible ghetto court show that ran for a few months - Street Court. The judge would stand in the street and hear both sides of the case. He had this dyke-y looking bailiff stand by his side.
Also adding: Judge Ross, Jeannine Pirro and Judge Penny (she's the pretty black judge).
Judge Judy should stop saying she feels "badly" for people before her.
There is obviously a whole facet of TV society that I know nothing about, as evident by the fact I know not one name from R22's list. Fascinating.
Ooooo, smell you, R26.
BTW, you must also be new to Datalounge, because there's a thread on Judge Judy almost weekly. Surely you would have known the name from those alone.
haha. I've been a DL addict for a decade. I do know the names Judge Judy and Judge Woepner (sp?) but I don't know anything about either.
"Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it ... You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"
We are switching to the new platform for The DataLounge this weekend. All of our mobile users have been using it for over a week and all first time users have been using it for about a month - which adds up to well over one million users. So we're ready to end this phase of the testing and move everybody to the new site. (more)
And yes, we've changed the look and some of how it operates.
Yes, we know you just *hate* it in well in advance.
Yes, we know we suck.
Yes, we are the biggest suckers that ever sucked.
But it was time for a change and with the huge shift to mobile it was long overdue. We've taken this opportunity not only to update the look but also make major changes under the hood (or "bonnet" if you're either British or pretentious or both). And we have to prepare for 2016 - a presidential election year where we can normally expect to see a 60% jump in traffic (yes, we've seen 5 presidential elections so far…Christ we're old).
The site has a bunch - nay, plethora - of new features which will make the site more usable: better search, the ability to ignore posters and threads, see link previews, to pick up a thread where you left off, spam and malware filtering and more.
If you want you can go explore and see for yourself, Click here.
And while running the tests we've noticed two interesting reactions to the new system - people are spending more time on the site and more people that come stay around longer and look at more stuff. Both good things. Yay!
Possibly we've not slain all the dragons and there will be issues that come up during the switchover. There's a help button in the lower right hand corner of the page which you can use to send us bug reports.
Please include as much information about the hardware (PC, Mac, Tablet, Phone etc), operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS etc) and browser (Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer etc) that you are using as possible to help us replicate and fix the problem.
Please note that complaints about colors, fonts, icons and the like are not "bugs" - they are design choices that we've made and we expect one or two cases of world-class bitching. But they won't actually cause headaches, scurvy, heart attacks, Restless Leg Syndrome, Morgellon's Disease or the vapors (but have your smelling salts at hand just in case).
Talking to DataLounge servers. Please wait a moment...
