He's an elderly man who sounds like he married a golddigger 30 years his junior. Anyway, they're probably getting divorced. He says he doesn't want any material things ("Let her have it all, I don't care"). The complication is that he's considering bankruptcy because of huge credit card debt and surgery bills (he makes the same as I do - $11.00/hr.- but gets some social security and a couple other small checks per month). She has a good job, and lives in another city now. Question: should he declare bankruptcy before filing for divorce, or get the divorce finalized before filing for bankruptcy?
