The "Let me tell you something about Deb Messing" troll
Even if SMASH comes back, they could write her out with no problem. I'm sure Daniel Sunjata wouldn't mind replacing her.
She still hasn't lost the baby weight.
Yes, R9, but unfortunately the "baby" is in high school now.
I lurve her, and would watch her in anything. Except "Smash".
She'll be 45 this year. Separated, with one son. Please don't let her character get married; I want her to stay single and dating forever, like Mary Richards.
TV husbands are disposable goods.
from David Groh to Brian d'Arcy James
Uh, R11, she'll play a married mom in the pilot.
I feel sorry for the poor schmo who gets cast as her husband.
Perhaps there will be a French version: "Qui était cette cunt?"
OP, SMASH was toast by the end of the pilot episode; this season it's just ashes.
Maybe Deb as a producer can swing a job for Will Chase as her hubby in the new show; he was damn sexy last night on THE GOOD WIFE (a CBS show - how convenient!)
What's saddest about the article at the link is that it also tells us the wonderful SOUTHLAND is dead.
Doesn't she have a glass eye or something?
Actually writing her out of Smash would be good for both.
According to Deadline Hollywood SMASH isn't coming back. It's dead.
I've been on DL for a couple of years and have heard a lot of Debra Messing hate. I'm just curious as to why. I don't care that people dislike her, I just want to know why.
I thought Sean Hayes was doing a pilot, too. He co-produces Hot in Cleveland and has been on it a time or two. He IS funny. Deb needs something new to click. She has never matched the Grace Adler character and that bar was not all that high.
NBC wasted a great opportunity on SMASH by never having Deb and Sean's characters even meet, despite the fact that both shows were rehearsing in the same building. They could have just both gotten on an elevator together for half a second...
How many episodes before that crap gets cancelled? 4? 5?
Rumor is that her co-star is Jennifer Anniston and the title is "Two and a Half Cunts"
R22, it'll never even get past the pilot stage. CBS will never pick it up because it doesn't fit with any of their other comedies.
She needs to go back to NBC and do a Mary Tyler Moore-type show, where she is divorced and surrounded by kooky co-stars. Maybe get james Burrows to direct. She's of the age where Baby Boomers can identify with her plight.
