What exactly has Lindsay Lohan done to get the amount of attention that she gets in the press

I get that her circumstances are unfortunate and sad but I just don't get it. I don't recall her appearing in many hit movies other than mean girls and Freaky Friday, but she is always being talked about even on the DL. You don't see Mike Myers in the press all the time, so what did she do to get so much attention. It's not like she's an A-lister.
