Arrest Warrant Sought For ex-Tennis Champ Jennifer Capriati
An arrest warrant is being sought today by the North Palm Beach Police Department for former women’s tennis champ Jennifer Capriati, Gossip Extra has learned.
Tennis Hall of Famer Capriati, 36, could be charged with battery and stalking in connection with a Valentine’s Day incident at one of the village’s gym.

According to the police report exclusively obtained by Gossip Extra, the former winner of two Australian Opens and one French Open caught up with an old boyfriend at the Oxygen Health and Fitness gym on US 1 — and things didn’t turn out too well.
She and ex-beau Ivan Brannan, a former Florida State University golfer, had an argument near the men’s locker room and Capriati allegedly hit Brannan’s chest with her fist several times.

A yoga instructor, who told cops that Capriati definitely struck Brannan, intervened — and Brannan, 28, ran into the locker room for cover and called 911.
Capriati left in her Porsche SUV but cops stopped her a few miles away. They only verified her identity and let her go while the warrant is being considered by the Palm Beach County State Attorney. Mike Edmondson, a spokesman wit the SAO, declined comment on whether a warrant would be issued.
Capriati, meanwhile, got lawyered up. Steve Sessa, the attorney, has no comment.
As Gossip Extra reported exclusively, the former No. 1 player in the world sold her Singer Island penthouse at a $600,000-loss last year and moved back to Tampa.
About the same time, Brannan asked a Palm Beach County Circuit Court judge for a restraining order against Capriati.
The judge declined the request despite the fact that police in Riviera Beach and Palm Beach Gardens investigated two incidents between the two.
In one, Capriati was accused of calling Brannan at his workplace more than 100 times in one day.
A pro at 16, Capriati’s early career made news as much for her tennis as for her arrests. She was nabbed in 1994 near Tampa in two separate incidents involving shoplifting and possession of weed.
Another women abusing a man. I'm tired of this shit.
Someone should stalk and assault r5 , just so he can show us how manly he is.
Oh Noes, she hit him a few times in the chest.
Did he cower in the corner of the locker room or drop to the floor and curl up into the fetal position?
What a PUSSY!
How about a "knock it off, bitch" and then an exit.
But No, drama pussy had to dial 911.
Is Capriati more than one person r8? You're right, so many men get beat up by women and not vice versa, when will the downtrodden men be heard!
Why was she always so chunky? She was a tennis player for pete's sake. I say lock her up!
Oh, so sorry, you're right. The fact that she is a woman should get her off the hook for threatening, stalking, and hitting another person. Let's just chalk it up to girls being girls!
I thought she was gay. Who is the closeted lesbian that tried to kill herself?
Dale DaBone the straight porn star.
Capriati overdosed on pills in 2010.
Even though she was sometimes unfit before she retired, she could really hustle and scramble to get balls back (especially when playing Venus & Serena.) There was diva tension when Venus & Serena's tennis games and skills eclisped hers.
There are several female tennis players who played near the peak of their game despite carrying extra weight: Capriati, Davenport, Seles, Serena Williams, among others.
A yoga instructor had to come to his defense?
Wht R16 said. Could've sworn she was a lesbian.
She's a hardcore Republican. She also made really shitty, homophobic statements about Amelie Mauresmo.
I thought it was Martina Hingis who said that stuff.
Good post R14.
Jennifer has a history of swinging at men -- she once threw a punch at her boy friend and hit a waitress instead. Waitress sued; it was settled.
No, Martina Hingis was too busy doing blow.
She was also retired during the higher points of Mauresmo's career.
Yes it was Hingis.
At least blame the right person!
Are there any tennis insiders who can give us true gossip on tennis stars and their behind the scenes diva behavior?
I thought I should just BREAK into this thread discussion to assure all you tennis JUNKIES that I am a red-blooded all-American chick who happens to love the PEEN. They can be big-Hewitt sized BEER CANS, or itty bitty Federer PINKIES. Doesn't matter, love 'em all. So being such a loving dame, it UPSETS me to see Jennifer so troubled. Perhaps I should console her in the LOCKER ROOM; a hot shower can be so relieving. And if Serena's there watching with her MASSIVE mammaries and Wozniacki with her PERT bosom, well who am I to say no? Plus, it would remind me of the old days when Billie, Martina, Rosie, and Wendy would put on those SHOWER shows...
Oh, look at me, off-topic AGAIN. Anyway, good for Jen popping that dude. Wish I had slugged LAZENBY.
R14 and your friend at r27, no one said women abusing men should get away with it, but your attempt to make it seem like men get beaten by women all the time yet the women get let off the hook is bullshit and pathetic. More like the reverse is true and I didn't notice anyone say she should get away with it, as you falsely claim. There's an arrest warrant out for her, as there should be. Just as there should be for anyone who physically abuses or stalks someone else.
What R10 said. Bitch needs to keep her hands to herself, but this is ridiculous.
r34 If you would stop falsely attributing things to me, you would see we are saying the same thing. Nowhere did I imply that women beating on men is a huge social problem. I was responding to other posters claims that the bf was a "pussy" or "dramatic" by doing the right thing and calling the police.
Another typical DL idiot trying to stir up shit where there is none.
Not necessarily, because it wasn't clear at all from your previous post that that was what you were trying to say, R37.
Agree with r38. It sure sounded like you meant that r37.
Yep, pretty sure I read back when she tried to kill herself that it was partly because of her fundie christian upbringing not approving of her lesbian leanings (also heard she was obsessed with her trainer at the time).
He totally deserved it.
She should have used a knife though.
I'm not sure why you guys are calling him a pussy. She's fucking crazy. With a long history of being a crazy bitch. Remember when she played "Bombs Over Bagdad" on the first night of Operation Saddam's Overpumping So Let's Destroy the Place and Drive the Price Up"?
If she stabbed him 50 times and the witnesses at the trial said "Oh yeah, she used to slap him around all the time" you would shriek "SHE HAD A PATTERN OF ABUSE, WHY DID HE NEVER THROW HER CUNT ASS IN JAIL!!?!"
R34, your nuts. Capriati's violence has been IN PUBLIC, officially reported on with police reports. Capriati has a history of drugs too.
OMG, r43, your reading comprehension is as bad as your friend's at r37. I wasn't referring to Capriati's personal situation - aside from saying it's absolutely right that this arrest warrant has been put out for her. I was responding to the post at r14, which seemed to be a random comment about how society somehow ignores women's violence towards men.
R8 is an idiot too.
Ah Jenny! Still the stupid white trash queen of tennis.
Aw, what's the matter r44 , someone misrepresenting your statement?
You, of all people, had it coming cunt.
"You, of all people, had it coming cunt."
You sound incredibly violent, r46. Is that what you say to people before hitting them?
She should have shoved a fucking tennis ball down his throat!!!
Did she turn herself in yet?
His ex-fiancé -and mother of his child- has been on twitter saying he's pulled the same thing on her. He had called the cops on her and tried to get her arrested after they had arguments. Meanwhile Capriati was surprised to learn her boyfriend has a child.
He sounds like a real winner.
She did struggle with her weight, but she had powerful arms.
Capriati's lawyer says it's all bullshit.
And, well, she hasn't been arrested yet because there is no warrant out.
Would love a link r50. I want to partake in the mocking of this flowery, little drama King.
He obviously thinks 911 is his mommy!
Thanks r50. I found this.
Ex-gf Christine Corley, who starred on Gordon Ramsey's MasterChef, says Brannan also accused her of stalking and assault.
"He's doing to Jennifer Capriati what he did to me! This man is just a master manipulator."
Ms. Corley, who has a 3 yr old son with Brannan, tweeted on Saturday.....
See I'm not crazy! This is the father of my child. HILARIOUS
Asswipe was NEVER a pro golfer.
He played a few yrs for Florida State and then quit the team.
I thought she became a nun.
Capriati has been talking about making a tennis comeback, apparently to honor her father Stefano, who she calls "the only man who's never let me down".
[quote] I thought she became a nun.
That was Andrea Jaeger.
Jennifer making a tennis comeback? At her age?
On a sidenote, has anyone noticed how skinny Monica Seles has become. Too bad she was seriously overweight when she came back from the backstabbing. She was never such a good mover in the first place (esp. compared to Steffi), but after that it turned into her most glaring liability.
Unfortunately, Capriati is still a little too sensitive/borderline psycho. Soon after she took to twitter to announce her comeback, there were a few tweets expressing some surprise at the announcement and questioning how competitive she could be. (She turns 39 in March.) Nothing rude or harsh, but certainly asking about the potential success of this endeavor. Her responses were a little... extreme, ripping into her "haters" and how the "press" was always out to get her.
pre-stabbing Monica wasn't half the pure athlete as someone like Steffi and others. But, she was a fierce competitor and had excellent footwork.
She wasn't bad right when she returned from the stabbing. But, eventually she balooned via depression, eating disorders, and a foot injury which kept her from training to her fullest (though, maybe she would not have anyway). Though she's skinny now, I'm not sure it's in the most healthy way possible. I hope it is, but I can see her being borderline anorexic.
The thing is hat Monica could be somewhat competitive despite being rather overweight. Some of the other players, including Jennifer, also were competitive despite carrying excess weight.
that, not hat
She's special, as in slow.
Maeanwhile in Spain, Arantxa Sánchez Vicario still looks quite lovely.
"Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it ... You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"
We are switching to the new platform for The DataLounge this weekend. All of our mobile users have been using it for over a week and all first time users have been using it for about a month - which adds up to well over one million users. So we're ready to end this phase of the testing and move everybody to the new site. (more)
And yes, we've changed the look and some of how it operates.
Yes, we know you just *hate* it in well in advance.
Yes, we know we suck.
Yes, we are the biggest suckers that ever sucked.
But it was time for a change and with the huge shift to mobile it was long overdue. We've taken this opportunity not only to update the look but also make major changes under the hood (or "bonnet" if you're either British or pretentious or both). And we have to prepare for 2016 - a presidential election year where we can normally expect to see a 60% jump in traffic (yes, we've seen 5 presidential elections so far…Christ we're old).
The site has a bunch - nay, plethora - of new features which will make the site more usable: better search, the ability to ignore posters and threads, see link previews, to pick up a thread where you left off, spam and malware filtering and more.
If you want you can go explore and see for yourself, Click here.
And while running the tests we've noticed two interesting reactions to the new system - people are spending more time on the site and more people that come stay around longer and look at more stuff. Both good things. Yay!
Possibly we've not slain all the dragons and there will be issues that come up during the switchover. There's a help button in the lower right hand corner of the page which you can use to send us bug reports.
Please include as much information about the hardware (PC, Mac, Tablet, Phone etc), operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS etc) and browser (Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer etc) that you are using as possible to help us replicate and fix the problem.
Please note that complaints about colors, fonts, icons and the like are not "bugs" - they are design choices that we've made and we expect one or two cases of world-class bitching. But they won't actually cause headaches, scurvy, heart attacks, Restless Leg Syndrome, Morgellon's Disease or the vapors (but have your smelling salts at hand just in case).
Talking to DataLounge servers. Please wait a moment...
