It’s quite simple. Happy people have good habits that enhance their lives. They do things differently. Ask any happy person, and they will tell you that they …
1. Don’t hold grudges.
2. Treat everyone with kindness.
3. See problems as challenges.
4. Express gratitude for what they already have.
5. Dream big.
6. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
7. Speak well of others.
8. Never make excuses.
9. Get absorbed into the present.
10. Wake up at the same time every morning.
11. Avoid social comparison.
12. Choose friends wisely.
13. Never seek approval from others.
14. Take the time to listen.
15. Nurture social relationships.
17. Eat well.
19. Live minimally.
20. Tell the truth.
21. Establish personal control.
22. Accept what cannot be changed.
Yeah, people create their own world by paying attention to whatever they like, the good or the bad. Some call one delusion the other one depression.
My partner is one of these happy people, but when I asked him why, he didn't follow OP's list. His response?
"I have good health, I have you, and I make good money at a good job in a career I enjoy."
Did you publish this thread with your son?
Good list, I think.
OP you forgot one:
Smoke Copious amounts of pot.
Poor peoples rules.
Loretta looks like a witch.
Was she speaking in tongues OP?

I doubt someone who doesn't know how to use apostrophes properly is rich herself.
Happiness is a combination of being bigger and better than the next guy and being able to choose to do what we want to do in life.
Happiness *is* an option, or how to attract NPDs into your life.
R3, but tell your boyfriend that he has to die into nothingness for eternity.
And if by slim chance not into nothingness for eternity, he still has to die.
See if that tempers his delight and enthusiasm.
Greetings, friends. Do you wish to look as happy as me? Well, you've got the power inside you right now. So, use it, and send one dollar to Happy Dude, 742 Evergreen Terrace, Springfield. Don't delay, eternal happiness is just a dollar away.
23. Be rich
24. Be good looking
25. Be lucky
I do most of those and I'm happy but everyone here calls me a loser.
I don't see "blonde" on the list. But otherwise you've nailed it.
I try to do those things, but I love to critique. That's it, critique.
Not being negative, just calling things as I see them.
I'm learning to only do that online. At work, I'll wait, until someone else starts the ball rolling.
Oh, dear god, that list is exhausting... easier to settle for Moments of Joy than some elusive bliss. Just have fun.

Everybody has his or her own idea what makes one happy. Some need other people's misery and failure as ego booster and others don't care about others at all and enjoy the feeling of happiness based on pride about their own accomplishments.
I don't know OP... For example the 1st one, I don't think many people would deliberately try to "hold grudges" but would that feeling just go away because you "choose" not to hold grudges? It's more about personality I think, rather than about "options".
And there's a thin line between "holding grudges" and "learning lessons". I'm not sure a long memory is a bad thing.
Maybe the first one should read something like; Avenge yourself, get even.
Continue from R15:
26. Be young
27. Be muscular
28. Have a big dick
"There is no happiness; there are moments of happiness."
