Question for you financial types

A older acquaintance of mine has a son, mid-thirties, who is an "entrepreneur" but when asked exactly what he does it's very vague. Something along the lines of "personal training". He lives very high on the hog, married with child in a very trendy, expensive part of town, very nice vehicles, travels, $4K cowboy boots, $5K bbq grill, etc., etc. A few years a very elderly woman he had befriended and was "training" died and left him a lot of money. He had basically been her caretaker because, according to my friend, her family didn't care about her except for the money. When she died the entrepreneur was escorted from the funeral by security. Supposedly this money he inherited is being used to purchase property to set up a non-profit ranch for needy or handicapped children to come and visit and learn about life on ranch, pet animals and stuff. This property purchase has been dragging out for years with no results and he has a briefcase he never leaves home without. It goes everywhere with him, even inside restaurants. What's in it? My question: Did he swindle this old lady into changing her will and with his non-profit charity use that money to live on without ever establishing a charity? It's very suspicious to me. Oh, I might also add he is a very religious Baptist, doesn't drink or cuss. Very clean cut and straight. Friends and I have been talking about this for years now and we are curious as to his "entrepreneurship".
