For some reason, I can never finish a task...

Just when I'm about to finish something, I cannot totally finish it. I finish 3/4 of something like an assignment or a chore, but I almost always have to leave something unfinished behind. It's such an odd habit. Thoughts?

• Sounds like ADD to me. I was sorta diagnosed a few months ago, OP. I'm 24 now and it explains so much about how I operate or don't operate, for that matter.

• You finished your original post, OP. That's a start.

• You sound like me, OP. I seem to never be able to finish any task or project in any area of my life -- not just the boring stuff.

• I'm the same way. Think it has something to do with striving for perfection? If you don't finish, it doesn't have to be perfect. I wish I wasn't this way.

• I'm this way, and the opposite reason as R5. I've finished it my mind before I've finished it in its material incarnation, and you get all the sense of accomplishment when that happens, even though you aren't really finished.

• Sorry, but I am glad you don't work for me or date me, OP.

• I'm not at all like this. I have the opposite of attention deficit.
