ELDERGAY THREAD WARNING: When watching the final number in Broadway Melody of 1940, I wonder about Fred's suit.
It had to be some one piece suit that zipped up the back. No bones! When I wear a suit and raise my arms, the jacket changes shape.
I wonder how I could find out how his suit was constructed. Bueller?

When I was young, I owned a book titled "B Movies." (I also owned all the Richard Lamparski "Whatever Happened to..." books.) There was a still in the book of a woman named Trixie balancing a ball on top of her head in a nightclub, taken from the movie MY GAL LOVES MUSIC. This was weirdly fascinating to me.
When I saw BM of 1940 for the first time, I was
pleasantly surprised to see that Trixie had appeared in the BM of 1940, and even had a career substantial enough to earn her the title FIRST LADY OF JUGGLING. (see link).
(I do love E. Powell's dress in the B the B tap number. It's sort of dowdy AND glamorous, like Eleanor.)
