Who's the Worst Actor on Television, Not Counting Soaps?

So who is it? Who's the worst actor on television today. I'm curious to know what you guys think.

• Oh, well if we can include actresses then it's clearly Zosia Mamet. I really like Girls and Mad Men and she's been completely awful on both.

• Jared Padalecki. Awful, awful, awful.

• Any of the hair models on the CW.

• Hair models???

• Is Tom Welling still on?

• No R8, he's gone . . . thank God.

• R7 Yes, hair models. They don't act, just sort of twirl or flip their hair.

• Katharine McPhee.

• Yeah, you're right . . . McPhee isn't very good.

• McPhee at least is passable.

• Chris Colfer

• Roseanne

• Please, Chris Colfer can actually act R14. I do agree with a lot of CW choices. Tom Welling, Jared Padelecki, Chace Crawford were all bad actors. The Teen Wolf kid sucks also.

• Zosia Mamet can't even say "Hi!" convincingly. That's not an exaggeration.

• Cam and Mitchell's daughter on "Modern Family." Shania on "The New Normal." Haddie on "Parenthood." Dax Shepherd in anything.

• Ice-T on Law & Order: SVU. Hasn't improved one iota since the first episode 13 years ago.

• Haddie - Sarah Ramos is pretty good. Dax is horrific. Mae Whitman is amazing.

• Jimmy Caan's kid on Hawaii 5-O. His acting is so wooden and forced that it cancels any sex appeal he may have in still shots.

• What R19 said. Spot on. Am starting to worry, on the same show, about Kelli Giddish - her character is VERY one-note. Back to Ice-T: I saw, a couple of years ago, his reality show - Ice-T Loves Coco - and on that show, which although reality must be somewhat "scripted", I was shocked: he was witty, intelligent,articulate - but dear God, cannot act.his.way.out.of.a.paper.bag. Wonder WTF is up with Dick WOlf having hired him? Plenty of minority actors who CAN act out there...

• R4 R17 I think we need a Bad Acting Mamet-Off between Zosia and her half-sister Clara, who's on "The Neighbors."

• Disagree about Shania, Bebe Wood. She is one of the best child actors around. Did you see her do Edie Beale? She will have a career long after "Normal."

• R21 I agree. Nepotism is the only way he has a career. Sad thing is I remember seeing a video of him on YouTube where he was speaking at some school and one of the kids asked how to get into the business, and Scott himself said, "Have a famous father". Even he knows he sucks.

• Stephen Amell. Definitely hot body but always the same expression on his face...

• That fat black woman and Aubrey Plaza on Parks & Rec...they're atrocious.

• I don't know, R26, I don't think Amell is too bad, especially for the CW. When it comes to annoying expressions, look at Jansen Akles from Supernatural. Jesus, that guy and his pursed lips! All he does is make model face at the camera. He's nice looking but sheesh. He is an awful actor.

• Kat Denning, two broke girls. That woman is the most incompetent actress I've ever seen on TV or in the movies. I guess big tits can save a girl. She is oddly unattractive too. The blonde gal, Beth something or other, is an excellent actress. The two are as unlikely a combination on one tv sitcom.

• No opinions here, as much of TV stinks. I just love how all the immediate and obvious candidates were eliminated by OP's stipulation of not including soap actors.

• I only catch a little of Two Broke Girls during commercial breaks from what I'm actually watching, but the dark-haired one is remarkably, conspicuously bad. It looks like total brain strain for her to get a line out.

• Joe Manganiello - True Blood. Not surprisingly who's acting credits include a series on the CW.

• Rob Lowe on "Parks and Recreation."

• Is it fair to include CW actors and actresses? That could be a thread in its own right since they elevate badness to a whole new level. Fortunately, once their shows get cancelled, they disappear into obscurity. One who's not currently on air but whose stench still lingers: Emily Procter. Even being on the same show as Caruso didn't make her appear any less horrible.

• We liked Emily Procter a lot on WEST WING.

• January Jones is good as Betty on "Mad Men," but it ends there.

• I caught the newish 90210 several years ago. There are many candidates for this honor on that show, but the black adopted guy and his sister are the worst.

• Dear worst actor on television, You don't need to tolerate this negativity. Call my lawyer, Allison Hart. The law firm is Lavely and Singer. • Yes, another vote for Kat Denning. How did she get hired? Maybe, the director is to blame for the way she says her lines. Zosia Mamet on Girls is TERRIBLE!

• I'm surprised to see the hate for Zosia Mamet. Of the girls cast Allison Williams is clearly the worst actress. It isn't even a contest.

• I don't think Retta from "Parks and Rec" is bad. Aubrey Plaza is very one-note, though... Happily, it's a note I happen to like. I hate the tinynip guy who plays Schmidt on "New Girl". That's a one-note whose note is a chalkboard screech.

• At first I thought you meant Krysten Ritter, the brunette on Don't Trust The B____. I've never seen either show, but she was Jane on Breaking Bad and is in my heart forever. But no, wrong show.

• JHud. At least she can sing.

• Rob Lowe on P&R, Zosia Mamet and Alison Williams on Girls, the chick who played Lori and the guy who played Shane on Walking Dead..both dead characters so I can get over that. Not horrible but not right for the role is Steve Buscemi in Boardwalk Empire.

• Ashton Kutcher is the worst highly paid actor.

• I haven't seen Zosia Mamer act on "Girls" or anywhere else, but if what people are saying about her is true, maybe it's because she subscribes to her father David's crackpot theories about acting. When it comes to that subject, he's a reactionary head case.

• Laurie Holden as Andrea on The Walking Dead.

• I get the feeling Zosia's been coached to play so vapid and innocent that she's in a shitty character box she can't get out od. She was better as a tangential friend. I agree Allison Williams is the worst thing on the show; when she emotes, I die laughing.

• Agreed R53. I used to think Dunham was the worst of the GIRLS but after Jessa's mini "breakdown" with her father a few weeks ago I can'd decide which of the four is actually the worst (after Allison Williams).

• Oh yes, Schmidt from New Girl is definitely in the running. I agree that Kat Dennings makes the robot from Small Wonder seem effusive. Have we mentioned Whitney Cummings yet? If not, add her to the list.

• That blonde who was the main actress on CSI:Miami (Poppy something) was easily the WORST actress I have seen in a major role on a regular series. She was AWFUL!

• Emilia Clarke

• The half man on Two and a Half Men. He makes Larry Matthews of Dick Van Dyke look like Olivier.

• Tracey Morgan is an artful buffoon. I don't care for him personally, but he's a long ways from legitimately being on this list.
