Anyone under 40 will hardly remember Dale Robertson, cowboy star and actor of the early 50s, and the first man I found attractive, as my Dad took me to see Sitting Bull and The Gambler From Natchez when I was about 10 in the mid 50s, who has died at 89. Dale was quite short but there was something attractive about him, as the young me realised. He was married 4 times and was quite popular then, he is terrific in Dakota Incident in 1956 with Linda Darnell. I never saw any of his tv roles though. He was also in several 20th century Fox films of the time, and often photographed with young Marilyn at various publicity events.
