Is it true that it makes you smell bad and makes your hair look awful ? Can those things be avoided?
On what you eat and how you take care of yourself post surgery.
Bitches, I NEVER had or needed gastric bypass. So don't go there!
I had it in December and no effect on my smell or hair.
How has it been for you, R4?
A friend had it done(age 30ish) and her hair got super thin. I mean she had visible bald areas on the top of her head. It kind of shocked me.
She has also passed out a couple of times. The last time no one was around and she really hit hard.
If you make sure you get enough protein every day (and the amount you'll need post-surgery is much more than what you've been getting all your life pre-surgery) then you'll have no trouble with hair thinning or hair loss.
It's all about increasing your protein intake (hair is protein after all)
take 5000 mcgs of biotin post surgery once a day along with all the other recommended vitamins and it will not be a problem and make sure u get in 60 grams of protein a day. Use shakes if u have to.
[quote]no effect on my smell
It doesn't effect the way YOU smell, but it effects other that have to smell your stench.
Here's a radical diet, just eat less.
Whenever you lose a large amt of weight, you will shed a lot of hair at some point. It's usually a few months after the weight loss began. It's too soon for r4 to weigh in on the subject.
