Why was Hugh Jackman In The Middle of the Les Miserables Musical Number At The Oscars?

After all Anne Hathaway was the only one of the group to walk off with the Oscar. As the newly minted Oscar winner and now reining Supporting Actress champ, shouldn't she be in the middle. Yet it was Hugh who was front and center (see pic below) while Anne was shoved off to the side. Why?

• You're an idiot. First of all, she hadn't yet won at the time of the musical number. Second, even if she had, at the time she won, Hugh's category was still to come, and he could've won. Third, did you actually SEE the movie? Fantine was NOT the central character.

• Crowe sounded the best I've heard him. Which isn't saying a lot for that part. I don't think he's a terrible singer, just not the right singer for that part.

• Jackman should have been in the center, as the star of the film and the person with the most dominant vocal role in "One Day More". Anne was front and center in the pre-release publicity, of course, which was right and proper as she's the biggest box-office draw in the cast.

• And "I Dreamed a Dream" is what R15 ?

• They were making a small reference to the stage musical in the Oscar presentation. I am always surprised by people commenting on movies they haven't seen and in this case a musical stage production that has been presented everywhere. Watch the 10th anniversary concert on You Tube.
