This is map of the countries that provide universal health care coverage for their citizens. You'll note a certain freedom-loving superpower isn't one of them. Said freedom-loving superpower also spends significantly more on health care than nearly every other country in the developed world. Gee, I wonder if there's some kind of correlation there?

I agree although the laws passed during Obama's first administration are a step in the right direction. I think the idea might be to fine tune universal health care throughout this century as they still seem to be doing with Social Security, sometimes not for the better. The United States was also one of the last "first world" countries to adopt an old age pension scheme in 1935 during the Great Depression.
