Do you ever pretend that your pet can talk?

I do this with my BF all the time because we always did it with the dog in my home when I was growing up. I pretend it's the dog calling him...especially if it's something awkward. It takes the edge off the situation. If you don't, you should try it. It's also fun to pretend they're talking to other dogs in the park...saying 'Hi' and stuff.
