Help Me Diagnose My Roommate

My roommate literally spends hours on the toilet. He uses tons of toilet paper. He has clogged the toilet many times. Just last month, water started pouring out the base of the toilet and our landlord came by to install a wax ring (which fixed it). Now, the toilet runs all the time and today he broke the flush handle (don't ask). He has mentioned he might have some digestive tract problems (at one point he thought he had colitis). He has been to see a doctor about this, but he said they could not tell confirm what was wrong. I want to be understanding, but it is annoying that he is breaking the toilet and also that he won't get help for whatever is ailing him. I also can't believe he is breaking the toilet so much. anyone have colitis or something similar?

Barring that, I have IBS, am Jewish (if he's Jewish he might have it) & he should be drinking kefir, say Lifeway kefir. Please tell him to try it & see if it will clear up his stom / GI issues.
