Describe the dishes you ate, OP.
What were their names?
Ali Reza was his name.
it was called bademjan. some eggplant stew thing.
im in love.
With the stew or Ali?
More sophisticated, interesting food than a lot of Middle Eastern fare.
Persian culture is really rich and interesting, it's a shame Iran is such an awful mess because it does seem like it was a beautiful place before the revolution.
They also seem to produce a high quotient of hot men.
Hot hairy men
yuck to all things Persian.
Was it in a restaurant? If so, what city? I worked at a Persian restaurant in Boston many years ago and yes, the food and flavors were fantastic (sadly I am and was vegetarian, though, lots of chicken and other meat dishes). One dish we had - Zaitun-e parwardeh - was particularly strange and wonderful. Was a big fan of Faludeh although I haven't had it in a long time.
Damn you, OP! Now I want a plate of tadiq.
Isn't Persian food from Iran? We are suppose to boycott everything form Iran.
R11, damn it! You tell me this now! I'm going to have to call up Mahmoud Ahmadinejad personally and tell him not to send over the chicken! Do you have any idea how much that costs?!
