But cash in on government funds for the internet, cell phones, and other technology.

- bumpity bump
- All these groups using their identities to grab money...
"But I'm a KOOOKORUUUUUUUUUU! I deserve FREEDOM (and a cash infusion)!"
- Yentl knows Talmud?!?!
Shimmeleh
- What's a kookoruu?
- The IRS hasn't audited a religious institution since 2005 so they can do whatever they want. Just don't try it YOURSELF...

- Oy, who needs it?
- I've never met a Jew who wasn't good at Math or shrewd with money. I find this statement to be amazing.
- There was a story about this a few weeks ago in Gothamist. How these schools even get accreditation is beyond me. Its all about control. If these kids graduate not knowing how to read or do math, then they are less likely to leave the community because they know they don't have the skills to get any sort of real work.

- Another Anti-Semitic thread.
- R7 That's because you have probably never met an Orthodox Jew, which is what the story is about. They are extremely insular and would rather run needles through their eyes than interact with a goyam.
- R9 what is anti-semitic in pointing out these schools are failing to teach?
- Based on history, the minute the state would question if academic requirements are being met or attempt to see proof that English and Math are being taught, the school administrators will claim they're being singled-out for investigation because of their religion. We saw the same response when teachers were known to be having sex with Yeshiva kids.
- Giving government $$$ to ALL religious organizations, whether directly or in the form of tax-breaks, really needs to stop. Whatever happened to separation of church and state?
- Exactly R13 Seeing how many of these religious organizations are ultra conservative, perhaps they should live by that free market mantra they love so much. If they cant make it on their own without a hand-out then they deserve to go out of business.
- I taught at a yeshiva here in Canada and indeed it taught english and math because those were the courses I taught.

- R9 is a troll, no criticism of anything or anyone Jewish and it pops up with that old meme.
