This 1965 film stars Sidney Poitier and Elizabeth Hartman in an unlikely love story between an African-American man and blind woman. Hartman was Oscar nominated for best actress. Shelley Winters, playing her hellish mom, won best supporting actress. It's on right now on Turner Classic Movies. Part of its "31 Days of Oscar."
