I'd never heard of this song, movie, or seen this video until now - pretty good 80's song! I wonder why it wasn't a hit.
I have a question though: Why was there such a fitness craze in the 80's all of the sudden? Olivia Newton-John had her song "Physical", Diana Ross had her song "Work That Body", Jermaine Jackson had this song, this movie had a fitness theme, and of course there was the infamous Jane Fonda workout crap. Why was everyone suddenly obsessed with working out?
I guess it was just the in-thing to do back then, R7. Not like now where everybody works out and gyms are a dime a dozen, it was more en vogue and new in the '80s.
The movie "Perfect" flopped, but it wasn't as bad as the media made it out to be. Jamie Lee was in great form, and John wasn't in "Stayin' Alive" shape anymore, but he wasn't nearly as heavy as he'd gotten later on. This scene is one of my faves...
