I hate having to eat plants and animals

Cutting their lives short- sometimes in a grotesque way- just so I can live. Why can't they invent "fake food"- stuff that tastes like the real thing, but is just as (or more) nutritious?

• I can't eat meat or fish or shell fish. I don't have negative feelings about those who do. I don't want to make any living thing feel fear. It's a personal thing with me. I know animals eat other animals and some people have even eaten other people. I want to live a life that doesn't bring fear into animals lives. This includes people too. I have no problem with eggs, milk and butter etc, but I don't eat cheese. I love the taste of cheese, but any food that includes fungus, I avoid, including mushrooms and the like. Soon, if it hasn't already started, there will be a great deal of talk about fungus being tightly tied to cancer in humans.

• I respect vegans/vegetarians. I think it's a noble pursuit. I just systematically disagree with their theses. We are all organic beings and need other organic beings to sustain and live. That's how the world has been set up. I guarantee you that at some point in the future, those that eschew ANY major food group will suffer for it. Substituting what has been evolutionary imperatives for out diet won't end well.

• All you luddites who think eating meat makes you less healthy or gives you heart disease need to get into this millenium. Protein and fat are not the problem. Sugar and starch are. But grass fed and finished is always the best.
