Cutting their lives short- sometimes in a grotesque way- just so I can live.
Why can't they invent "fake food"- stuff that tastes like the real thing, but is just as (or more) nutritious?

Processed soy is a carcinogen. Soy in general can raise your estrogen levels. More nutritious to eat the real stuff and not think about how the animals were slaughtered.
Eating beef gives you heart disease
Eating beef gives your fuel for muscle building, which leads to a jacked body, which leads to more sex, which will make you forget about ever eating animals that were slaughtered inhumanely.
Seriously? We evolved to eat animals and plants. Get the fuck over it mary.
OP- Soylent Green!
You don't think a hungry animal would eat you?
They have invented such a food, OP.
But they had to take it off the market.
It was called "Soylent Green."
Animals and humans are even Steven.
We kill them for food, they kill us with heart disease.
I can't eat meat or fish or shell fish. I don't have negative feelings about those who do. I don't want to make any living thing feel fear. It's a personal thing with me. I know animals eat other animals and some people have even eaten other people. I want to live a life that doesn't bring fear into animals lives. This includes people too. I have no problem with eggs, milk and butter etc, but I don't eat cheese. I love the taste of cheese, but any food that includes fungus, I avoid, including mushrooms and the like.
Soon, if it hasn't already started, there will be a great deal of talk about fungus being tightly tied to cancer in humans.
Cheese has fungus?
Some animals would eat me if able to,but not all. So what. They aren't able to make a choice. It's also the factory farming that keeps me vegetarian.
OP can't stand the corn screaming when she peels off the silk.
In particular, blue cheese, Stilton, Limburger etc have living fungus and other cultures seldom allowed to go to the prom:)
R14 OK, I guess I didn't realize that mold was a type of fungus. It's been a long time since high school science class.
Is that why you won't dance with me R14?
I hate having to eat plants and animals
I guess that only leaves you with a diet of rocks, OP.
You already appear to have a few in your head.
welcome to eating Vegan, OP. I don't eat meat (working on dairy, and I occasionally eat fish).

Seriously with this shit? Fish is meat, it is animal flesh.
welcome to eating Vegan, OP
Vegans eat plants.
What are they going to make fake food out of rocks?
They have, R20, it is called "sand."
Luckily in America you have other options: Doritos, Coke, Twinkies, etc, etc. None of them are food.
I respect vegans/vegetarians. I think it's a noble pursuit. I just systematically disagree with their theses. We are all organic beings and need other organic beings to sustain and live. That's how the world has been set up. I guarantee you that at some point in the future, those that eschew ANY major food group will suffer for it. Substituting what has been evolutionary imperatives for out diet won't end well.
I hate the fact that I love to eat meat. I'll probably never give it up completely, but I could (and should) eat a lot less of it and be a lot healthier because of it. Americans, in general, eat way too much meat in their diet. It's bad for the planet and it's bad for their health.
"I'm a Level 5 vegan. I don't eat anything that casts a shadow."
Oh yeah? Well I started doing yoga [italic]before[/italic] it was cool.
All you luddites who think eating meat makes you less healthy or gives you heart disease need to get into this millenium. Protein and fat are not the problem. Sugar and starch are. But grass fed and finished is always the best.
Moderation in everything is the key. People simply cannot grasp moderation anymore. It always has to be all or nothing. Diets don't work. Well balanced meals do.
Even if they did you'd always know in your heart that a plant or an animal died to bring you to this.
Another shit-stirring thread from the Faux-Naive Troll.

What's your problem about eating plants? We're supposed to eat fruits and vegetables. They do a body good.
You are a gentile loving soul op.
If you hate it don't do it OP. You have a choice.
I hate cows and chickens more than I hate migrant farm workers.
I guess R26 is like the hipster with a burned mouth.
She ate pizza before it was cool.
If you are at all serious about this OP look into the ways Jains (it's a religion) eat. They feel much the same way you do. They eat plants but they don't kill the plant for their food, they only take what they can without killing the plant.
Link is to Jain recipes.
