I was injured by a patient at work and now have two badly herniated disks with nerve impingement. My doctor, whom I loathe, suggested steroid shots into the spinal cord but I'd prefer to deal with the pain less invasively if possible. I do daily yoga and core exercises and rotate Motrin with Tylenol but it's not enough to keep me pain-free for a 12 hour shift. I'd love to hear how others deal with chronic back pain. Flexeril and Baclofen have not been very effective. I've been reading about gabapentin (neurontin) which makes me hopeful. Thank you.

We are switching to the new platform for The DataLounge this weekend. So we're ready to end this phase of the testing and move everybody to the new site. (more)
