The Movie "Clue"

This is the best, campiest movie ever. Let's discuss!

• How about "Murder by Death"?

• Was the movie a hit at the box office? Stellar cast all around. Especially Lesley, Colleen and Madeline.

• I love Martin Mull and Tim Curry, mincing about.

• One of my favorite movies. I have it DL'd on every device I own. Murder by Death, I saw that on Amazon Prime...I tried to watch it once but I think I'll give it another chance.

• No, not a hit. I loved it and saw it four times in the theatre, trying to get all three endings.

• I use R3's line all the time -- even though it's rude. I can't help it. I love it.

• Clue was stupid but Murder by Death brilliant.

• It was good campy fun, and the different endings was a great concept back in the day.

• I watched Murder by Death recently, it doesn't hold up as well. Clue is always delightful. "I am your singing telegram!"

• The DVD features all three endings. The version shown on TV also shows all three endings.

• Actually, the three ending gimmick backfired. A lot of people stayed away because they felt they were missing part of the movie unless they saw the movie three times. Some movie theaters posted which ending was used at each showing, some theaters ended up showing all three endings at each performance. The film cause a lot of ill feeling between theater owners and the distributor.

• Didn't like it. At all. That includes the overrated "flames" line. It simply wasn't funny. I disliked the writing and casting. Not dressing the characters in their iconic colors was a huge missed opportunity.

• Was it called Cluedo in the UK?

• A murder mystery that has three different endings is a poorly constructed mystery.
