Why do websites still use Flash Player?

Don't they realize how many people have Apple products who aren't able to access their videos? I'm talking to you, Amazon.

• The real question OP should be asking is why Apple doesn't allow its iOS devices to access the full web and why people buy these crippled devices.

• There is an Amazon Instant Video app for iPhone and iPad. You can stream or download the videos.

• Many web sites are smart enough to send the alternate H.264 video to iOS devices, yet are still sending Flash to Kindle Fires...bad user experience, there.

• My problem was streaming netflix on apple products. Silverlight fixed everything on my macbook air, but I had to install it as a guest. Of course, OP is probably thinking of porn sites that don't play on iPad or iPhone. Keep your PC on the toilet tank and shit backwards, OP!

• R9, I found that work around in the Apple forums and it applied to installing Silverlight on the Macbook Air. Since then, I've upgraded my Macbook Air and dropped netflix, so I don't know if it would be a straight forward install. I had the netflix app on the iPhone, but it was silly; the picture was too small.

• Several agit-prop Microsoft partisans are at work on this thread. All website designers should be using HTML5, instead of Flash these days. HTML5 is better than Flash and is universal, as Steve Jobs knew.
