'Wild Thing' singer Reg Presley of The Troggs dies at 71
Reg Presley, lead singer of British rock band The Troggs whose raucous "Wild Thing" topped the charts in 1966, died on Monday, one of his agents has confirmed.

- I always confused the Troggs with The McCoys. I was always mixing up the Hang On Sloopy group with Wild Thing group. I don't know why. They are nothing alike. Not the songs, not the bands.

- That song was an automatic "change the station" whenever it came on. Ugh.
- Somehow, a 45 record ended up in my house of political impersonators singing "Wild Thing." My sister probably "borrowed" it from a friend. One side had Everett Dirkson singing "Wild Thing" and the other side had Bobby Kennedy doing it.
