Hollywood's cripplimg influence on society

Can you name one good thing that Hollywoood has brought to society. It influences young teenage girls to starve themselves to look skinny. Many of the violent films make guns look cool and fashionable. Hollywood has not done a single good contribution to society. Why is it still allowed to operate?
