Please recommend a true crime show to live-stream on Netflix
HELP. I am home with the flu and need something mindless/scary.
- Is "The First 48" streamed?
"Disappeared" has been discussed on here also.
- Not a true crime but a good detective series is the original Prime Suspect with Helen Mirrren. It began in 1991 and then had about 7 1& 1/2 hr installments up until 2002.
DCI. Tennyson is a great and flawed character and the show does't pull any punches. The great thing about the social context of the series evolves over time and changes and how she evolves in response to it. You see her dealing with sexism, then racism, then all kinds of social issues that affect her dept and the crimes she has to solve. In the final installment her career has taken a heavy toll on her and she's not a great person, but you can help but have admiration for what she does.
- Don't watch Solved. It's boring. There's one called The Nightmare Nextdoor which is kind of fun and another called something like Deady Attraction or Dangerous Attraction or something which has a similar kind of campy tone to it.
- The old Unsolved Mysteries with Robert Stack is creepy fun. There was a DVD box set devoted to Bizarre Murders which Netflix might have.
- That Heather Graham sitcom. It was a true crime.
