OP TCM has been a trifecta tonight, Casablanca, The Maltese Falcon and AND Mildred Pierce.
Yes, "Key Largo" and "White Heat" were also on. I dvr'ed all of them and also "Jezebel" last night. I will have a lot to watch tomorrow during the game.

The 60 minute tribute to Warner Brothers was also interesting. A bit too corporate PR for my taste, but interesting none the less.
All these movies are for really old people.
Therefore, OP is probably right and most of the populace of DL will be absent for a while!
R3 did you find it strange that Joel Silverman was included in that even though they canned him last year and is no longer on the lot. I watched it thinking that is was old but they copyrighted it 2013.
R4 No, these movies are for people who appreciate classic cinema--which means having taste and an appreciation for film as popular art. In other words, a brain--something it appears you lack.

Did anybody else notice the use of the music from "Now, Voyager"?
Omg, now??
R7 "Max write me something nice to walk down the stairs to.".
" Vida.....get out"
Mildred
R3 just saw those $2M torchieres.
Thanks r7. I noticed years ago and again tonight. I always thought it was composed for "Now, Voyager" but then I got to thinking it might be some famous piece and I'm ignorant.
Anyone know?
When I was seven I named the family dog Traherne, which was Bette Davis's character's last name from "Dark Victory." It was a sign, sure enough. My mom thought I was the smartest thing on the planet, but my dad . . . yeah, my dad just sorta' grimmaced.
Judith Traherne: I'm accustomed to a reasonable quantity of tobacco and alcohol. I'm said to have a sense of humor. Is that enough?
Dr. Steele: All the inconsequential facts. (She tries to light the end of her cigarette, but has difficulty and misses the end of it with her lit match. Dr. Steele guides her hand.)
ELDERGAY THREAD.
Forty-one is considered eldergay? I'm mean, hell, I don't care. If that's the label I'll wear it proudly, but I thought one had to be at least fifty to be considered an eldergay. What do I care though? I'm in phenomenal shape and have completed 21 full marathons in my eldergay life.
A little botox and radiesse every so often and I'm good to go.
I don't really care about that show or any tv show for that matter.
r14 - Ignorant.
I first saw this movie when I was 12 and it was way before my time.
CULTUREDGAY THREAD!!
So, it's all Eurogays right now? Splendid!
I guess the way we want to live isn't good enough for them.
I'm glad to finally see more of the standard classics back on TCM this month, but they're only doing it because of the Oscars, after that they're going to go back to showing some odd movies/stars I've never heard of and too many westerns/British/war films.
