I don't think they treat recruits like this anymore but when I was in the military we were frequently standing naked somewhere. I was in the Navy and they did things like this to condition us to living in close quarters.

They used to be that graphic. Everything was in an open room, lined up, literally everyone bent over and spread their cheeks together.
In the Navy we had to be able to swim. We swam naked after showering. Someone inspected us for soap as we had to lift our balls and turn around and bend over and spread are cheeks.
I doubt they really needed to check for soap.
