• Regarding the makeup, I also read that he worked behind a Lancome counter as well. He wears makeup in public as well - such as heavy pancake and eyeliner. I have never met a straight makeup person. But I guess there is always a first time.

• The National Enquirer has had at least two stories about "outing" Renner. 1 - After the Hurt Locker. Whole story about Kristoffer Winters and the acting coach. 2 - The Griffin Hadley Roommate (calling him a close pal). Add this in with make-up artist, Thai bar, Casablana outing him. All coincidences? This is all out in the open.

• I can't believe another thread on an overheard and unconfirmed conversation on a smoking balcony?

• I've worked with a lot of male make-up artists, and two of them were straight, so they definitely exist even if they're in the minority. One of them pinged a lot even though he only dated woman, but I figured that's because his dads were drag queens, and he probably picked up a lot of their mannerisms growing up.

• Why all the interest in this baby? Many celebs have children.Fill me in.

• There was an episode of The Dinner Party show in December where Ted Casablanca was a guest. There was this moment where someone says "should we share our Jeremy Renner stories?" and they all laughed. As in, they all have one.

• For those who don't know (like me), can anyone give a synopsis of that "Thai bar" incident? TIA.

• R12 I can only imagine the stories. Renner likes the more than occasional alcoholic beverage. So pair that with the closet he is hiding in, I can only imagine. I'm surprised we haven't heard more! The studios must have a tight lid on this stuff. It will blow at some point.

• Blind Item - Thailand bar fight This top actor recently engaged the professional company of an [childish epithet posted by a bigoted tool] boy for the night. The following night our star was out at a bar with a group of people. The boy and his p*mp showed up with a group of his own to demand payment for the services rendered. The p*mp zeroed in on our star, a yelling match ensued between the two groups, and things quickly escalated into a physical brawl. Somebody got hurt, but it wasn’t our star, who was promptly hustled out of there. However, any stories about the event have conveniently left out the part about the ho*ker and the p*mp, as well as the fact that the fight took place in a gay bar. Our star stays in the closet and lives to fight another day.

• Has Renner said anything about the baby anywhere? Only the Eva Langoria conversation? I haven't seen anything on TV, internet or print.

• He should partner with Kathryn Bigelow again in one of her movies. She seems to get the best out of him.

• Thanks r15. r16 If it weren't true, wouldn't he have said so by now? It's not like it's something negative or embarrassing that a star and their team have a had time deciding what to do. He also had a chance to deny or confirm and he deflected. I'm pretty sure it's true. Maybe he doesn't want to confirm because he doesn't want to answer any questions about the "baby mama" (contracted surrogate).

• From a quick trawl...Girl friend is 24/25 not 22... dad is expecting very soon .... there are now 3 photos of the two of them floating about, with one well over a year ago. Not that it matters, but I think she is pregnant but he doesn't know if he is the father. Looking after them just in case does seem to be in character. There is no real evidence that he is living with anyone, but even so, if he does have 10 properties in LA and is rarely there, would they be living in his home or his house? - there is a big difference. I don't think he is communicating with press at all, if he was he would sort out the question of her age which is incriminating. If you look at the actual quotes in US magazine he could easily have been talking about his dad. If not, I suspect he was just a bit too drunk and a bit too loud - again in character.

• JAH- is he an alcoholic? Lots of stories of him being drunk, at bars etc.

• In his interviews and when colleagues talk about him it is clear that he hates sitting in front of a TV, loves socialising and enjoys a drink.I have no problem with any of that and have no idea if he has a drinking problem. Some then describe him as careful and guarded in what he says, whilst he admits his big mouth gets him into trouble. Watch his interviews, it is quite facinating from a psychological point of view. He can come across as two completely different people, sometimes both in the same interview. The unguarded side of him pops out during interviews if the interviewer is good and I am sure it pours out when he has had a few drinks - he did some interviews with Scarlett Johannson at a Disney thing and he is either tipsy or just hyped up and completely unfiltered - rather funny and a huge flirt.

• The Enquirer is pretty reputable - their reputation from the 80s and 90s as one of those supermarket tabloids that talks about aliens persists. But they broke the John Travolta masseuse stories, the John Edwards affair with Rielle and baby story, and many others. Unlike 99% of US Weekly and People, stories in the Enquirer are not planted by publicists. Wasn't the Jeremy Renner to be a father story published first in US Weekly? They wouldn't go with it unless Jeremy's camp had confirmed, in fact his camp probably fed them the exclusive. that's how US rolls.

• OK I don't get why people are saying that Jeremy himself has not confirmed this story. He hasn't gone on record the way pregnant actresses sell their pregnancy stories with People covers and "YES, I'm pregnant!!!!" splashed across the front, no. However... Refresher: US Weekly broke this story with 'sources close to the actor'. Lainey (who is in with someone at US Weekly and has gone on the record that "Jeremy Renner is straight," probably in exchange for cash...) foreshadowed it and followed up with her own confirmation and new details later that same day. US Weekly and Lainey are both PR shills. Duh. This story was planted by Jeremy's camp. There was no Eva Longoria overhear by the cater waiter - that was made up as a narrative to frame this story. Jeremy needed this to be made public now, in his own way and with his own control of the narrative, before the baby gets here and he gets full custody and is papped pushing a Bugaboo around Griffith Park. She's a paid surrogate. Probably not even the egg donor, just the surrogate. Just watch - she will not have any custody or be in the picture at all after the birth. Her age, her topless blackjack background etc. actually play into this whole charade because it assists in the believability of the story they'll put out there - that she is a young party girl and therefore gave up her right to any custody.

• [r69] Renner was photographed with her last August and it was obviously a pap setup (as most celeb candids are). Don't see how his being photographed with her is evidence against her being a paid surrogate - I think it is rather the opposite. It supports it. When Renner was photographed with her last August (and she was already knowingly pregnant by then, BTW) that was intentional. Planted the initial seeds for this story. I know it seems absurd at this point to believe in the Toothy Tile blind item, but pretend for a moment that it is true. If you're an A-list gay actor in the closet and you want to be a father, what are your options? Hiding your kid forever like Toothy Tile is not a very attractive option. Adopting or going the surrogate route openly when there are already gay rumors about you is basically outing yourself, especially after Ricky Martin et al. Jeremy Renner is writing a new playbook here, and it's going to work out just great for him.

• Hello All, I stumbled late onto the DL baby thread late and after *careful* reading of now two full threads on this subject plus a gander over at IMDB I gotta say that all this has gotten a bit out of hand. Three weeks of nonstop conjecture has turned this into a circus of misinformation. And I have to disagree with poster "Bored2" -there's no conspiracy (perhaps he/she was just trying a bit of wit-whatever). and Anon-three pap pictures in a year does note make the actors in this drama soulmates. It's just a PR nightmare. Big fan of Mr. Renner and I feel for him because I do agree to some extent with other posters that this is something that shouldn't have to be rolled down hill the way it does. Hey, I am not here to squash the fun you should see my snark on other threads-I am a bit of a buzzkill on this particular matter because really-everyone deserves to have their life, choosing their partners, starting their family on their own terms, famous or not. There are similar ads for very fit young males, wearing only swimsuits, as well. They're mixed up with the requests for nude models and the more traditional help wanted ads for well-paying reality shows and high fashion models for conventions. Everyone from Discovery Channel to TruTV, to groups of horny young males, legit and not, advertises in this section.

• To M&M: I was employing scarcasm in my post about the media black-out and the lack of follow up pictures, stories, ect about this alleged mother-with-child hence the 'witness protection' crack: wasn't trying to insinuate JR had a hand via bribery. If i put that impression out there, I will use this post to clear up that impression given with sincere regrets for feeding the rumor mill monster. • Lainey had an unconfirmed story about the shower on her gossip site. Everythin is unconfirmed. Apparently, the baby might be born already. Private.

• Maybe Lainey's story changed - the one she has up now doesn't have anything about a baby shower. But does say the kid may have already been born. Then Lainey posts the photos of the baby mama that were taken on August 30 and I think there is little chance that woman is 4 months pregnant in those photos... her stomach is 100% flat. So if the baby already arrived... I'm thinking the actual mama was someone else.

• What is 'legal' in the US? It is 16 in the UK. There is a lot of scandal over here at the moment with celebs and children, it is mainly historical, but very unpleasant. I do wish someone would clear up her age. Was she lying on Canada's next top model? If not she is 25 and would have been at least 22 when they met, which is young but not barely legal. To me she looks older and the only source, independent of this story, that indicates she is younger is her graduation date, but am I right in thinking that there is nothing to say you must graduate at 18? There are a few modelling sites that give her DOB as 23 March 1988. I am not great at internet research, but surely this is one point that can be cleared up with some certainty, perhaps with a census? If a 1988 DOB can be confirmed it would be very significant because it would show that he really is compulsively private, even when correcting an error would be good PR. We know nothing of her personality, we shouldn't be judging people based on pictures and gossip (although there are positive comments about her out there too) and certainly not be using those as a barometer for future behaviour or whether she'll be a good mother. According to the chatter in the local press Issara is a rich guy, or the son of a rich guy and has done some things that make him not so popular. Locals seem to think that the rapid police reaction was because it was Issara that had been hurt, but the publicity around Renner was also a factor. Yes one of the accussed did try to speak at the police conference, presumably to explain what they were arguing about, but he was kept quiet. With 20 people involved in the fight and a bar full of witnesses, I can't find anything here on Renner. The blind item on the under age boy is pretty extreme and offensively criminal, surely there would be some backup from people there? Is there anything I've missed?
