• Actually, brain cells CAN regenerate via lion's mane mushroom. Mushrooms are the closest cellularly to humans, and why they can be especially healing. There has been international research (IOW not American) showing lion's mane not only stopping Alzheimer's progression, but reversing it. Too bad you can't trademark a mushroom, or it would already be an available medical option. You can buy lion's mane pills, though.

• And here's another way to look at it: we are not simply flesh, bodies, or matter. We are spirit animating bodies. When your parts were only cells inside your mother, your spirit/soul/whatever-word-you-like-to-use-here was not there yet. Without the animation of matter, your individual life does not exist. Your cells wouldn't even be able to talk, or bottom, or anything, without YOU being in there.
