Daniel Day-Lewis

I know I am in the minority here...but I just find his acting way too hammy. Watching Gangs of NY on IFC now and he is just way too over the top. I tend to avoid his films. Give me Ralph Fiennes anyday.

• I love him, OP. But art is subjective, especially acting.

• Bill the Butcher is a hammy character, OP. He's a showman in a way. DDL is hardly hammy in My Left Foot or The Age of Innocence or My Beautiful Laundrette or Last of the Mohicans... get it?
